After a tiring workout session at Celebrity Fitness , I and Fiona was walking about in Nu Sentral mall hunting for food to feed our hungry stomach. Lo and behold, we came upon Kohi Cafe and was charmed by its quaint decor. On top of that, they were serving Taiwanese dishes which I’ve been craving for. *thanks to Fiona for accommodating my request 😛 *
Imagine my surprise when the waiter informed me that they’ve set lunch available during weekends and only cost from RM13.90 – RM18.90 which includes a soup, main course and cold black coffee. Such a bargain as most cafe or restaurant no longer served set lunch/dinner on weekends. I ordered the Plum Oriental Duck Set and Fiona ordered Braised Chicken Drumstick Set.
Our coffee was delivered with a cute ladybug pin up with simple description on the coffee. This coffee is really bitter and sugar is needed. Definitely a good ‘wake up’ call !
Here’s my set lunch – Plum Oriental Duck, that’s served in a ‘food container’ with rice and soup. The duck meat is slightly tough most likely overcooked, however the plum sauce was really good. Wished they’ve given more sauce and loved the salted egg.
Fiona’s set lunch – Braised Chicken Drumstick served with rice and braised eggs. The chicken meat is tender however the sauce is too bland for our taste. The braised eggs was perfectly seasoned so perhaps it was meant to be that way.
Both of us agreed that the mini cup of soup was delish. It was a satisfactory meal and the serving portion is huge as well. If anyone has been to Kohi to tried their food, do share their thoughts here.
