Sweet Mother’s Day Celebration at Resorts World Genting

Resorts World Genting

Each year Mother’s Day, my family’s tradition is to do a family gathering and all mommies will celebrate it together. Imagine my surprise when I received an invitation to celebrate Mother’s Day in Resorts World Genting . The best part is that I can bring my mom along with me too. It’s been ages since we both of us went on a trip together and we were extremely excited.

Me with Joyce heading up for the trip

The day started pretty early as we departed from Wisma Genting, Kuala Lumpur. Our drop off point was at Awana Skyway; where we will be boarding the new glass floor gondola directly to the new Sky Avenue Station.

Together with other influencers, we waited for the glass floor gondola. The journey up to Sky Avenue Station merely took 10 minutes. Take a look at the glass floor gondola and you’ll be enthralled by the magnificent view.

Once we arrived at Sky Avenue station, we headed for our lunch at Royale Vietnam  located at Level 1- Casual Dining Floor at Sky Avenue. (psst…I was joined by my influencer bestie Joyce and her mommy)

Walking into Royale Vietnam, we were quite charmed by the oriental décor and also waiters dressed up in traditional Vietnamese wear. At Royale Vietnam, they served authentic Vietnamese dishes and the list of item is quite extensive.

Guess what we had that day? We were recommended to try Mother’s Day Set which includes: House Special Cabbage Chicken Salad, Sweet  & Sour Pork Ribs, Beef Cube on hot plate, Crispy  Golden Chicken Pumpkin and many more.

Oh boy, was our tummy filled to the max with those delicious food. *Burp* If you noticed at Royale Vietnam, the Chef take pride in their work. Most of our dishes comes together with delicate handcrafted food art. Simply beautiful!

Ignore those disco balls and just concentrate on us 😛

After lunch, we headed out for a walk around Sky Avenue whilst waiting for other interesting activities schedules for the day. Our first fun activity was catching the Mother’s Day flash mob at Sky Avenue. The dancers invited onlookers to dance along before presenting flowers to mothers who were present that day.

As part of Resorts World Genting, CSR Program they invited single mothers from Raub and their children for a fun day out at Resorts World Genting. They were treated to a gastronomic steamboat meal at Resort Seafood and fun time in Snow World. Apart from that, each of them were presented with hampers as a token of appreciation.

Time for teatime and were are given a list of outlets at SkyAvenue to redeem our snacks. Some of the participating outlets are Gindaco, Madame Waffle, Inside Scoop, Just Heavenly, Tokyo Secret and Gong Cha. Kinda like a food trail and mommy dearest was enjoying herself to the max!

Our first pit stop was Gong Cha where we had Refreshing Winter melon milk tea and Milk tea with Herbal Jellies. Followed by Inside Scoop which serves assorted premium ice creams, waffles and affagatos. Apart from our free scoop of ice cream, we were also given a Banana Ice Cream Waffles. My mom was truly ecstatic and she polished the entire plate 😀

Next stop was Tokyo Secret and we redeemed Hanjyuku Cheesecakes and Cheesetarts. Our final pit stop was Gindaco to redeem the all-time favourite Takoyaki (Octopus Balls).

While we’re enjoying our teatime snacks, Resorts World Genting also announced the winner of their Mother’s Day Contest. Three lucky patrons at Sky Avenue walked away with prizes worth more than RM5,000!
