KL is just hopping with new cafes and each of them has something unique to shout about. The latest to hit town is Njoy Planet Café which just recently opened in April 2016. The restaurant is located nearby the construction area of Pavilion 2, Bukit Jalil. Serving western delights, one can have good food together with some signature cocktails and liquor. As for entertainment, enjoy the sounds of a good live band or check out the huge projector screen airing favourite sports or MTVs.
Together with a bunch of foodie’s kaki, we headed over there to have a taste of their dishes. We will be tasting a varieties of western dishes ranging from appetizers to snacks, burgers and pastas.
Enjoy half dozen dory fillet fingers that’s well breaded with the Japanese panko. Perfectly fried till golden brown, it’s really crisp and simple addictive to crunch on. Served together with a mix salad, lemon wedges, celery stick and homemade tartar sauce. A tad too salty but overall it was a good choice of snacks.
Well marinated with homemade BBQ sauce, the chicken wings taste pretty good. Served with mix salad and carrot sticks on the side.
A classic Mexican dish of crunchy tortilla topped with saute capsicum and jalepeno pepper. Served together with generous toppings of homemade tomato salsa, guacamole and sour cream.
Breaded well and deep friend to perfection with marinated salt and peppery spices. It’s simply appetizing to have.
Using boneless chicken thighs it’s extremely well-seasoned with Cajun spices. You can opt for either black pepper or mushroom sauce. The meat is tender and juicy with distinct flavours. Served together with Australian baby potatoes and roasted vegetables.
One of my favourite dish for the night. Baked rice that’s al-dente and creamy as it’s oozing with generous toppings of cheddar cheese, mozzarella cheese and Parmesan cheese. Opt to add on chicken cutlet (RM 8), fried fish (RM 8) or seafood (RM 10).
Another hot favourite dish of mine is the BBQ Beef Ribs. Braised and grilled for more than 4 hours, the Australian Spare Ribs Beef just simply melt in your mouth. Served with side dishes of corn and roasted vegetables.
The Norwegian Salmon is perfectly pan fried with just the right touch of flavours. Served with crunchy US potato fries, grilled vegetables and signature lemon butter sauce.
Prime Australian Beef patty (150g) is well marinated is extremely juicy. Sandwiched together with beef bacon, cucumber and grilled buns was truly tasty. It’s served together with coleslaw and cutted fries.
Cooked al-dente ; the pasta is filled with a generous portion of seafood which includes prawn, squid and mussel. You can opt for either normal pasta or pasta with seafood. It’s tossed together with capsicums, chili flakes and cili padi. It’s a tad spicy thus not recommended for kids.
Overall, we enjoyed the meal served that day. This is a good restaurant to chill and dine with friends. We shall return another day to try out their signature cocktails and other offerings. Till then, keep you posted on my next food adventure.
