Elevate Chinese New Year Hotpot with Anchor Extra Yield Cooking Cream

Hotpot is one of my favourite food and I usually do it during Chinese New Year. It’s easy to prepare at the comfort of our own home. The most important ingredient is the soup base. Thanks to Anchor Food Professionals for creating their inspirational recipes to encourage everyone to celebrate the occasion. I tried using Anchor Extra Yield Cooking Cream to elevate the taste of my soup.

Anchor Food Professionals have specially developed a hot pot recipe using Anchor Extra Yield Cooking Cream as the key ingredient to elevate the soup base for a richer flavour and silky mouthfeel. The product is a versatile, pre-reduced dairy cream that is not only suitable to add into clear soup base like chicken broth; it can also be added to spicy soups such as Tom Yum and Mala.

Anchor Extra Yield Cooking Cream is made from fresh New Zealand cream that gives the ideal base in cooking. It requires no reduction, is heat-stable and produces no caking or drying. It retains a full, natural dairy flavour to create great pasta dishes easily and consistently. Usually used for creamy pasta, cream soup and purees, Anchor Extra Yield Cooking Cream is great for local cuisines. It is acid stable and doesn’t split in sour, acidic (low pH) and spicy recipes, great for curry noodles and even local desserts such as ‘kuih’.

I’ve got to say, it really tasted better adding Anchor Extra Yield Cooking Cream into my soup. Its thicker, milkier and richer in taste. My family polish the whole pot of soup. Its’ recommended to add in 100 grams of Anchor Extra Yield Cooking Cream for every two litres of soup base, bring it up to simmer, check seasoning and it’s ready to cook your hot pot condiments. If you prefer it creamier, you can opt to add more.
