Mother’s Day is coming this weekend and bet all mommies are wondering they type of surprises the kids will bring home. Usually, schools or kindergartens will have interesting craft ideas and will teach the kids prepare a DIY gift for Mother’s Day that can’t be bought anywhere else *wink*
In tandem with this special day to celebrate motherhood, Beaconhouse Newlands Early Years, Bangsar gathered preschoolers to design and create their very own Dessert Pizzas to gift to their mothers. Attending the event with my fellow blogger friends, we witnessed the special bonding moments between the students and moms while working on their dessert pizza.
It’s such a great idea by Beaconhouse as children are able to get creative, have fun and at the same time teach learn the importance of appreciating their mothers. The customized heart shaped Pizza Crusted was sponsored by Mission Foods. Children can also decorate the pizza with fruits, chocolate sauce and sprinkles too! Once ready, the pizzas are packed in a gift box with personalized hand-written notes for the children to share with their mothers as Mother’s Day gift.
Commenting on the event, Kelly Robb, Head of Beaconhouse Newlands Early Years Bangsar, said “Mother’s Day is a very special opportunity for all of us to celebrate and honour mothers for their never-ending sacrifices for their children and family. At Beaconhouse we place emphasis on family values. This activity is one of the ways we teach children to be expressive in the love for their mothers on Mother’s Day and every day.”

With the success of Beaconhouse Newlands Early Years (BNEY) approach, which incorporates Montessori and Cambridge International learning. The company has witnessed increased demand for the system leading to great expansion across Klang Valley. The latest edition to the system is Beaconhouse Newlands Early Years, SS2 that is now open for admissions. Meanwhile a similar pre-school will be opening in Ampang very soon.
