Dining at Zuan Yuan Chinese Restaurant, One World Hotel has always been a pleasure. This month, they’re proud to introduce Chef Tommy Choong as their newly appointed Executive Chinese Chef. With over 20 years’ expertise in Chinese cuisine and working with several prestigious hotels, Chef Tommy is set to take diners to greater heights of culinary realm. For the month of March, he is proud to debut some of his masterpieces which will be available for a limited period.

Pan Fried Omelette with Oyster, Thai Basil Leaves and Mayonnaise Dressing
Sweet with a touch of tangy spice, the oyster is topped with generous ebiko. It offers an interesting myriad of flavors. Truly a delightful appetizer to awaken the taste bud!
Braised Superior Soup with Scallop Dumpling and Saffron Flower
Rich and creamy, the delicious soup tinted with saffron flower is served with scallop dumpling stuffed with shrimps and topped with a sprinkle of caviar.
Pan Fried Cube Australian Tenderloin served with Chef’s Signature Sauce
One of the best highlights from Chef Tommy. These tenderloin cubes are amazingly cooked medium-well done. The meat was tender and succulent and every bit simply oozes with flavors.
Stir Fried Australian Asparagus with Assorted Mushrooms and Truffle Jus
The subtle scent of truffles will tickle your nose buds, whilst the taste of assorted cooked mushrooms perfectly paired with crunchy asparagus gets you asking for more.
Crispy Fish Cake with Minced Baby Cabbage served with Sweet Bean Sauce
Another hot favorite dish for the night is the bouncy and firm fish cake. Add in minced cabbage gives it the extra crunch. Simply addictive!
Braised 12-head Abalone with Wild Rice wrapped in Lotus Leaf
Here’s another dish that caught me by surprise. A creative twist to lotus leaf rice, Chef Tommy decides to use wild rice as it has a chewier texture and this totally enhanced the taste. The rice is laden with generous bits of chicken and mushrooms too. Topped it with juicy braised abalone adds extra depth of flavor to the rice.
Black Sesame and Peanut Jelly
The dessert is presented in a delicious jelly form. The smooth jelly texture simply burst with nutty richness.

Completely handmade, it has the right touch of sweetness and taste brilliant.
