Working as a full timer, it’s really tough to cook a proper meal for my family. We busy moms are always on the move. I need a magic tool to help me prepare my healthy meals quickly and without hassle! Since, I have Phillips All-In-One Pressure Cooker, shall we put this wonder pot to test? I’ll be making the famous Ayam Percik, let’s go!
Before I start, let me just share it usually takes 4 hours to cook Ayam Percik (nope, I’m not kidding). However, with Phillips All-In-One Pressure Cooker, it’ll take only half of the time to cook it! Plus factor, its hassle free and won’t mess up the kitchen. All I need is to put the ingredients into the pot, do the correct setting and ‘VOILA’ my meal is done! The best part is my meal will be kept warm automatically too.
Here are the ingredients to prepare for Ayam Percik:
- 3 chicken thighs
- 2 large onions blended
- 1 inch ginger blended
- 5 cloves of garlic blended
- 3 lemongrass blended
- 2 inch galangal blended
- 1 inci turmeric root blended
- ½ cup chilli paste
- 1 cup full cream milk or you can also use coconut milk
- ½ cup grated palm sugar
- 2 tablespoon tamarind paste diluted in 1 cup water, seed discarded
- 2 teaspoon salt
- ½ cup cilantro sliced
Follow the easy instructions to set up my Philips All-In-One Pressure Cooker Method:
Step 1: Put all the blended mixed and ingredients except the chicken thighs & cilantro, in the inner pot of Philips All-In-One Pressure Cooker.
Step 2: Stir all the ingredients together until it’s well-combined.
Step 3: Place the chicken thighs into the pot and smoother the chicken with the cooked percik sauce.
Step 4: Press on “Pressure COOK” and press “MEAT/POULTRY” for 15 minutes. Press “START”
Step 5: Close the lid and turn the valve on top of the lid, towards the “SEAL” position
Step 6: When ready, release the pressure by turning the valve towards the right most for “steam release”.
Check out my beautifully plated Ayam Percik sprinkle with cilantro on the top. It was truly delicious, my kids and I enjoyed it tremendously. We polish everything off the plate that night.
In a nutshell, it was easy to cook tasty healthy meals with Philips All-In-One Pressure Cooker. I just have to set the cooking method and leave it to cook on its own while I do the laundry or get some work done. Absolutely love the fact that it’s super easy to wash too. Use soap to wash the inner pot while for the rest just use a wet cloth and wipe it clean! Simply hassle free and super convenient.
TIPS: Pressure cooker timing board only records hours and minutes. Also do remember to let release the steam before opening the pot.
