This festive season be spoilt for choice as Hilton Petaling Jaya takes us on a merry gastronomic journey where their Master Chefs present an array of irresistible yuletide indulgences. I was certainly dazzled by their myriad of mouth-watering dishes at their recent Christmas Buffet review held at Paya Serai.
Enjoy various types of barbequed dishes from the Western & Asian. This year Christmas highlights include the perfectly Smoked Salmon, Sea Salt & Brown Sugar Marinated Salmon Fillets, Roasted Tom Turkey ,Chestnut & Sage Stuffing, Garlic Marinated Roasted Leg Of Lamb, Roasted Venison and Yorkshire Pudding served with a selection of Giblet gravy, Cranberry-Orange compote, Beet Chutney and Cranberry-Mustard relish. Also do look out for one of my favorite dishes the succulently Grilled Veal with Mushroom Ragout that’s tender and flavoursome.
Not to be missed would be the chilled seafood section serving freshly shucked oysters, mussels, prawns and scallops. Absolutely fresh and tantalizing.

As you know, I love desserts and Hilton Petaling Jaya truly appease my sweet tooth with its variety of selections. There’s the heavenly Christmas Yule Log, Assorted French Pastries, Miniature Fruit Savarin with Ginger, Tiramisu & Blueberries Chantilly, Miniature Festive Cup Cake, Cinnamon Almond Chocolate Cake and Poach Pear With Ginger Bread Spice. My top favorite dessert definitely went to Choux Puff Towel for its soft and fluffy bread with luscious vanilla fillings.
Apart from the Christmas roasted offerings, there are other stations available as well. I also went for theirJapanese cuisines with its assorted sushi platters and for greens can opt for salad bars. For some live action, some stations will cook up a-la minute delights like freshly made pasta, noodles and lots more. The buffet starts from 7.00pm until 10.00pm on 24th December 2015; and is priced at RM 159 Nett per adult and RM 80 Nett per child (inclusive of a party pack)
There’s also the Christmas Day High Tea with a selection of internationally inspired dishes featuring festive tradtional specialities like Beef Roulades with Walnut Parsley, Maple syrup whipped potatoes, Barbequed baby squid with pine nut stuffing, Yule Log, Christmas Minced Pie, Spiced pumpkin tartlets and much more. From 12.30pm- 5.00 pm on 25th December 2015, this Christmas Day treat is a belly-full of delight! Buffet High Tea is priced at RM 159 Nett per adult and RM 80 Nett per child.
If you wish to bring home some of their sumptuous Christmas delights like the Roasted juicy Leg of Lamb or Assortments of Christmas Cookies it’s available for take-away at Christmas Market at the Café Cino.
Should you prefer Japanese cuisine, try their newly refurbished Genji Japanese Restaurant. Christmas Eve & Christmas Day Buffet Dinner is available from 6.30pm -10.30pm and priced at RM 170 Nett per adult inclusive of a glass of wine or free flow of tea. They’ve also got authentic Chinese feast prepared for Christmas Eve and it’s available for lunch and dinner priced at RM 150 Nett per person. Also enjoy check out their New Year’s Eve Set which is priced at RM 150 Nett as well.
To get into the spirit of Christmas, an Advent calendar complete with Christmas socks is prepared in anticipation to celebrate the days leading to Christmas. Diners who spends RM 250 in a single receipt would win daily ‘mystery gifts’ which consists of Christmas treats and goodies! I truly enjoyed my gastronomic buffet feast at Hilton Petaling Jaya.
