For the past few months, you would have noticed me hopping with my family spending a well -deserved weekend staycation within Klang Valley. The hassle of beating traffic can be rather crazy and when the kids call for a weekend staycation in the city, let’s go!
This round, I checked in the newly debuted Courtyard by Mariott Setia Alam. This hotel provides 225 rooms and is a dual development with Top Residency Serviced Apartments available. Located in the heart of Setia Alam, Courtyard by Marriott Setia Alam is situated across from Setia City Convention Centre and is also a short walk away from Setia City Mall. There’s a connecting link bridge from Courtyard by Marriott Setia Alam to Setia City Mall.
Deluxe Room connected with Twin Bedroom.
I booked my family into a Deluxe Room connected to a Twin Bedroom.
The rooms contemporary design encompasses comfort and functionality. Each room is fully equipped with an array of amenities including smart television, multipurpose work desks, wireless charging ports and multiple USB charging outlets and high-speed internet access.
There are several highlights of the Deluxe Room. Firstly, its spacious and comes with a living room equipped with sofa (which also serves as day bed). Secondly, in the bedroom, there’s another sofa beside the work desk where one can lounge comfortably. Thirdly, the bathroom spots a ‘his’ and ‘her’ basin and comes with a mini bathtub too! Finally, this is the only hotel I’ve been which provide mint mouth wash to keep our breath fresh.
For the twin bedrooms, I also spotted a sofa which works as daybed too. Practical and functionality at its best!
Lobby Lounge
While waiting for check in, we took a quick dive to the Lobby Lounge for a cuppa. I think coffee connoisseurs would love the coffee as the baristas where pretty good with it. At night, you can head to the lounge to chill with a glass of cocktail or wine.
Swimming Pool, Pool Bar & Fitness Centre (Level 12)
Naturally, after checking in and resting. We headed for the pool area. My son and husband had a great time at the swimming pool area. Here’s a tip, walk towards the end of the pool, there’s a jacuzzi hidden beside it. For parents, you can relax at the jacuzzi, whilst the kids have their fun time at the pool. Adjacent to the swimming is the Pool Bar. It is a place for social and casual relaxation whilst looking at the amazing scenic view of the mountains surrounding Setia Alam. You can even book it as an event space too. I also took the opportunity to check out their Fitness Centre which was well equipped.
5 Wells Restaurant (Level 2)
We had our lunch & dinner at 5 Wells Restaurant. This is an all-day dining restaurant offering elaborate buffet featuring International favourites and a la carte menu in a casual dining environment with fresh, made to order options. We tried the CNY Menu set & CNY Buffet Dinner and both was pretty scrumptious. You can click here to see the photo album .
The restaurant also offered 2 private rooms to accommodate bigger crowds. One of the rooms comes with karaoke and built in toilet as well. By the way, the restaurant served delicious breakfast buffet spread too!
We enjoyed our bonding time immensely at Courtyard by Mariott Setia Alam. For those who are visiting Setia Alam area, do check out this hotel.
