For the first time, I was privileged to joined Hotel Majestic’s Festive Dinner Set menu preview. I was awed by the luxurious ambience set against beautifully Christmas decors. Amidst the setting, we had The Solianos playing wonderful music in tribute to The Rat Pack.
This year, Majestic Hotel Kuala Lumpur is proud to dedicate this festive season to the incredible talent of the world’s most famous entertainers, Frank Sinatra, Sammy Davis Jr, Dean Martin, Joey Bishop and Peter Lawford, better known as The Rat Pack. Let’s enjoy the meal whilst listening to the glamourous era of swing music!
Mulled Wine
Kick start with a glass of traditional Christmas drink, the Mulled Wine is great to warm up the tummy. Loved the sweet spices to bits!

Breaded Camembert Cheese with Blueberry Sauce
Such a delightful cheesy appetizer with tangy aftertaste.
Soup
Cream of Watercress Soup with Lobster Meat
Totally loving the creamy soup with hints of truffle oil and comes with a chunk of lobster meat. Simply unique!
Mid-course
Roasted Sliced Turkey accompanied with Cranberry Sauce, Stuffed Chestnut and Buttered Vegetables
Tender and soft roasted turkey that blends in flawlessly with the sweet cranberry sauce and chestnut. Enjoy fresh greens served on the side.
Main Course
Baked Honey Glazed Cod Fish Accompanied with Butter Glazed Asparagus
Baked honey glazed cod fish served on a bed of fresh buttery asparagus was truly succulent. Loved the delightful touch of sweetness in the dish. Definitely my favourite dish for the night!
Pudding
Home made Chocolate Fudge Cake with Crispy Brandy Snaps, Berry Comport with Vanilla Bean Ice Cream
Such a lovely plated Christmas dessert! Take a bite into soft fudge cake that’s rich in chocolate flavour and paired with delicious vanilla ice cream. Simply divine!
During our meal, we were entertained with some of the finest swing music ever recorded such as Fly Me To The Moon, The Lady Is A Tramp, Mr Bojangles, That’s Amore, along with seasonal favourites like Merry Little Christmas and Baby It’s Cold Outside. Thanks to The Solianos for serenading us that night!
That night apart from enjoying out Christmas Feast, we were also given a preview of ‘The Rat Pack’ Afternoon Tea! This Gentlemen’s afternoon tea is specially curated for menfolk with a distinctive masculine slant. The decadent experience offers a selection of wholesome Canape-Style Bites from fish & chips, mini beef burger, fries and many more. Apart from unlimited refills of tea and coffee, there’s also a tankard of beer served too! ‘The Rat Pack’ Afternoon Tea is available daily in the month of December 2017 from 3pm – 6pm at RM80 nett per person.
Ooh…another thing to highlight is the limited edition Sinatra Jack Daniel’s. Nothing can beat a glass of good whiskey . Both are only exclusively available at The Smoke House.
