Grand Feast At Lobbee Thai

Thai food has always been one of my favourite cuisine. Today, I’ve been invited to review the latest Thai Restaurant at Empire Damansara- Lobbee Thai.  Walking into Lobbee Thai, you’ll be immediately put at ease with the relax ambience and this will also set you mood to enjoy a sumptuous Thai feast!

One thing that amazed me was the quirky names, Lobbee Thai has for all their drinks and food. For drinks, we had Iced Butterfly Pea Milk, Iced Butterfly Pea Lime Juice, Red Lemon Soda, Iced Thai Tea with Grass Jelly and Lobbee Iced Tea. Now, I would recommend Iced Butterfly Pea Lime Juice as it’s really unique. Pour some lime into it and watch the drink turn from fiery purple to an amber amethyst color; the taste is a combination of sweet and sour. Another ‘Must Try’ would be the Lobbee Iced Thai with a strong lychee flavour.

After having our drinks, we were served with Mango Salad with Deep Fried Salmon Head. This dish is only available during certain period and is upon request only. The tangy mango salad with a drizzle of lime juice served together with crunchy deep fried salmon head is definitely a winner. Take a bite and you’ll seek for more!

The following dishes, was the appetizing starters of Chicken Skewers, Thai Squid Cake and Thai Crab Cake. Absolutely ‘Must Try’ is the Thai Squid Cake which is make from fishcake and squid with a distinctive taste to it. Chicken Skewers is pretty good as the chicken is tender and grill to a light golden brown. As for the Crab Meat it was a tad too dry for me.

Our main dish today was Lobbee Combo featuring ingredients such as lobster, king crab legs, salmon, squid, mussels soft boil eggs and thai pad noodles. Huge serving portion that’s meant to feed 3 to 4 pax. Definitely a ‘Must Try’ the soup with its zesty Tom Yam spiciness is also naturally sweet from the combination of seafood ingredients in the bowl. The seafood ingredients are fresh, juicy and succulent. Truly a flavoursome dish that lights up my palate.

We ended our meal with desserts of Blue Ruby and Blue Ruby with Coconut Ice Cream and Jack Fruit. Normally in other Thai restaurant the dessert is Red Ruby, however in Lobbee Thai its Blue Ruby. This shows the chef’s creativity in thinking out of the box to create new dishes to attract the customers. Both desserts are equally good, thus feel free to order both of it for a try.

It was a wonderful feast served at Lobbee Thai and I truly enjoyed my meal. Also do note that the place is pork free as well. If you’re nearby Empire Damansara, do swing by and taste it for yourself. Till then, keep a lookout for my next foodie journey.
