With my recent weight gain, I’ve been getting more conscious of the food I put inside my mouth. I prefer food that’s prepare fresh with natural goodness as its way healthier. Recently, I chanced upon this new Japanese Style Vegetarian F&B outlet known as ‘Shiang Hai’ located at Sunway Mentari.

Walking into the restaurant and looking at the menu, you will find some similarities of the dishes to Mama Kim. Well, don’t be surprise, for ‘Shiang Hai’ is founded by HerbaLine Wellness Group. After 20 years of operating as a facial spa brand, HerbaLine diversified its beauty business into food & hospitality arenas with focus on integrated wellness business under the umbrella of the HerbaLine Wellness Group.

Living up to their tagline of ‘Eat Well, Look Well, Live Well’, HerbaLine Wellness Group has reinforced its foothold in the food wellness business recently with by introducing their brand new Japanese Style vegetarian F&B outlet ‘Shiang Hai’.

What does the name ‘Shiang Hai’ means? It means ‘aromatic seas’ representing the vast natural life and featuring tasty food at its natural best and goodness. If you think you’re going to another plain and bland Japanese restaurant, be prepared to have the feast of your eyes and taste buds!  We’re talking about the insta-worthy vegetarian sushi rolls at ‘Shiang Hai’.

These instgrammable vegetarian sushi specially crafted by Master Chef caliber is filled with healthy greens and contains an interesting myriad of taste. Loaded with all-natural ingredients such as banana, mango, alfalfa, beetroot, dragon fruit and beansprouts. The sushi’s are prepared with minimal sauce and is made upon order to ensure freshness.

Let’s go bananas with this irresistible tasty combination of sweet banana and greens. Filled generously with crisp alfalfa and nuts.

A smashing nutritious roll stuffed with assorted vegetables and offers well-balanced flavors with interesting crunchy textures.

Blue RM15

Blue 'Shiang Hai'
Using all natural blue dye from butterfly pea flowers, this sushi is filled with seaweed, cucumber, carrot, red cabbage, veggies and a slice of mango. I love this dish the most!

Beetroot RM22

Beetroot 'Shiang Hai'

This vibrant colored sushi is made from beet juice and stuffed with assorted vegetables. Tasted equally good.

Mango 'Shiang Hai'
Another hot favorite dish for me. The sushi is topped with mango and lends a subtle sweetness. Add in those greens and it can pack quite a punch!

Holy River RM15

Well, once you have a bite of this you might just think ‘HOLY’ too 😛 . The sushi roll is filled with crisp and succulent jicama, seaweeds and red cabbage. Each bite is simply divine.

Apart from sushi, Shiang Hai Japanese Style Vegetarian Restaurant also dishes up to 70 different types of vegetarian dishes. Take your pick from fried mushroom with oatmeal, creamy butter mushroom, pumpkin tofu, assam fish, butter gravy chicken, assorted vegetables, noodles, fried rice and many more . I also took the opportunity to order the below dish.
