Remember the first UV paint Glow Fun Run back in 2015? Well, it’s back again this year with Season 2. Proudly sponsored by MONSPACE , this year’s MONSPACE U WE GLOW FUN RUN 2016 was definitely “splashier, brighter with more glow!! (I meant really literally glowing everywhere)
Present on the day was Alex Wong, CEO of Monspace Mall representing our title sponsor Monspace, the founder Dato Sri Jessy Lai (Founder of Monspace) to flag off together with Issac Teoh, the organizer of U We Glow Fun Run at the start of the race. Gathered on the day to support the event was local celebrities and pageants like Amber Chia (Supermodel), Dewi Liana Seriesthe (Singer), Irene Wong (Mrs South East Globe 2012), Brian Lee (Celebrity Social Media & Actor), Amelia Lee (Child Star), Annelise Chan (Child Star), Vinly Yim(Malaysia Charming Mum 2012), Pinky Loo & Mark Yong (Professional Magician and title holders for Malaysia Book of Records), Michelle Koong (Malaysia Charming Mum 2014) and many more.
Even though there was a heavy downpour that night, close to 3,500 runners was in attendance to start the fun run. Luckily, rain coats was provided by the organiser, thus we weren’t soaking wet. I even spotted a runner as young as 2 years old joining their family as well. There was a UV zone along the route where runners will be splashed with UV paints and run through a UV lighted area. Don’t worry the UV paints are not harmful as its fully imported US and it’s non-toxic.
Adults and kids alike were in awe of seeing the “storm trooper” from Stars War joining the fun run. After the run, the fun continues with celebrities spraying colour glow paint at the runners, bubble bath, and lucky draws of Ice-Watches by Andaman Group, Yan Society Birdnests, Jewelry Sets by KelvinGems, and many more.
The main objective of this night fun run is to promote a healthy lifestyle among Malaysian of all walks of life. Besides promoting running for a healthier living, part of the ticket sales collection will be donated to charity organization to ease up their daily expenses needs.
