If not this weekend, you should bring your family along for a fun filled day at MAHA 2016 at MAEPS, Serdang. This is my first visit to the event and I highly recommend you to plan your day ahead. NAFAS CUBE

Stop by for a quick breakfast at this beautiful and serene homestay made from chic container rooms. For nature lovers, you can book the rooms in Nafas Cube for a short vacation. The price range is extremely affordable ranging from RM120- RM250 per night.

FISHERIES ZONE

Ever wanted an aquarium but worried that you don’t have time to maintain it? Worry no more as there’s a man-made balanced ecosystem aquarium which you can assembled in 30 minutes. Best part you can control the aquarium’s environment via your mobile and arrange for rain or thunderstorm.

Step into the world of mini Aquaria and have fun learning about different species living in the Deep Ocean.

For some fun, head over to the Fisherman’s Fun House and do the topsy turvy picture poses with the items hanging upside down.
PADDY ZONE

Here is the showcase room showing visitors how rice is made and the different types of rice available in the markets. You can also participate in some fun activities such as making ‘cold rice powder’ for your skin, guess the rice and playing football in the paddy fields.
Ton of promotions happening as well, time to grab some rice home 😀

PINEAPPLE PLANET ZONE
 
Learn interesting facts on how pineapples is processed and the types of Malaysian delicacies it can become. Are you aware that Pineapple skin can be recycle into paper?

MACHINERYÂ ZONE
 
Be in awed at the sight of the gigantic machineries that are used to ease farmer’s work on the fields. The advancement in technology has certainly help us to get things done much faster.

Took a moment to seat and have some local delicacies snacks.
VETERINARY & LIVESTOCK ZONE

Wow! The size of the hybrid Belgian Blue cow is amazing. This cow meat is high in protein, low in fat and the meat is more tender.

Here we can buy freshly produce milk and yogurts at amazing prices.

FLORICULTURE ZONE

The gardens are so beautiful and there’s so much peculiar vegetables ready to be harvested.

Time to buy some pots home and grow it on my own. Items are going at an affordable rate here.

Ooh don’t forget to check out the Kelulut Mini Farm and drink some sweet honey right from the bee’s nest!

RHYTHYM OF THE FARMERS ZONE

For visitors who are coming in the evening, don’t miss out on the opportunity to catch the gorgeous lights of ‘Light Sensation’. There’s also concerts held in the weekends as well. Ooh…you might be the lucky winner to walk away with a brand new iPhone 7!
UPIN & IPIN SHOWCASE

Bet the kids will love it here! The zone is set up with fun interactive activities for the kids to learn about plants and caring for it.

There’s also a live showcase performance as well to keep the kids entertained.
DISTRICT OF ENTREPREUNERS & MAHA 2016 COVENTION HALL ZONE

If you love to shop, the ‘District of Entrepreneurs’ zone if the right stop for you as there’s more than 300 booth set up inside the hall.

In the MAHA 2016 Convention Hall, one can find more booth displays showcasing local products by young entrepreneurs. There’s tons of food to be found here as well such as seafood, ice cream, corns and many more.
FOOD EMPIRE

Need I say more, foodie lovers this is the ultimate ‘FOOD HEAVEN’ showcasing more than 80 unique dishes from all over Malaysia. One will be spoilt for choice here!
The fair is held from 1st – 11th December and I’m glad to have visit the exhibition before it ends. Some tips to note down:
- Wear comfortable clothes and shoes
- Put on sunblock
- Bring an umbrella (just in case it rains)
- Bring a luggage bag or big recycle bag to store all your goods.
- Bring sufficient CASH to shop

There’s still 2 more days before the exhibition ends, don’t miss out on this opportunity to bring your family for some fun and great food. It’s also very educative as we can learn more about how local food are produce and made in Malaysia. OMG…MAHA 2016 was astounding this year. The visitors hit surpassed their expectations and hit 3.7 million people. Glad, I was one of the visitors who went for this exhibition! Next year, I’ll plan to make it a 2 day trip perhaps even booking at room at Nafas Cube.
