My Gastronomic Culinary Journey at Solaire Resort Entertainment City

In part 1 of my vacation , I blog about the Solaire Resort Entertainment City’s services, facilities and fun activities that you can explore. In part 2, let’s focus  on the glorious gastronomic culinary journey I had at the resort.

At Solaire, one will be spoiled for choice as the resort offers 19 world-class restaurants featuring a diverse range of cuisines from around the globe. From fine dining experiences to casual eateries, there’s something to satisfy your cravings. Come with me to indulge in a fusion of exquisite flavours.

Yakumi

Japanese fine dining, or kaiseki, is a meticulously crafted experience that emphasizes seasonal ingredients and artistic presentation. This is evident in Solaire’s signature Japanese restaurant, Yakumi.

Each course is served with a focus on harmony and balance with highlights of its umami flavours. The freshness and high quality of the ingredients are evident in every bite of sashimi and sushi we had. Some of the highlight dishes we had included Foie gras egg custard, Robatayaki Char Grilled Beef, Hokkaido Scallop, Toro Caviar and more.

At the high-end sushi bar, you can watch chefs preparing dishes right in front of you with a bottle of sake and this makes it an unforgettable experience.

Red Lantern

Step into Red Lantern, Solaire’s Chinese restaurant. Emphasizing freshness and high quality ingredients, the food are masterpieces artfully presented to us.

We enjoyed the well- balanced flavours in their dim sum and delicate dumplings. Some of the dishes we indulge in are Steamed Scallop with Black Truffle, Prawn Pumpkin Soup with Abalone, braised USDA Beef Short Ribs with Chinese herbs and more.

One of my favourite dishes is the dessert, featuring an interesting mix of intricate flavours but surprisingly turns out delicious and well-paired. The dessert we had was chilled Snow lady, Chinese red dates rolls with glazed fresh mango, Baked Honey Cake served with mango sauce, cinnamon blueberry sauce and mango sorbet.

We missed out on the Peking Duck (but let’s hope we can try it next round). You can also pair your meal with premium teas, fresh juices or thoughtfully selected wines.

The ambiance of the restaurant reflects the rich cultural heritage, with elegant décor and attentive service, creating a truly immersive dining experience.

Waterside Restobar

Step into Waterside Restobar for a delightful fusion of flavours, while enjoying the view of the gorgeous poolside setting.

The restaurant encompasses a broad range of culinary traditions, emphasizing on seasonal ingredients and contemporary cooking techniques. With its open bar concept, you can catch the chefs or mixologists in action preparing your meals and drinks.

Some of the highlight dishes we had were Tuna Tartare, Beef Croquet, Crab Risoni, Spiced BBQ Pork Rib, Fish and Chips, USDA Beef Tomahawk 1.5kg and more. Each dish was beautifully plated and the dishes were complemented by rich sauces and gourmet sides too.

Being a sweet tooth person, I loved the Burnt Basque Cheesecake and S’mores Tart. Smooth, luscious, melt in the mouth desserts, making each bite a delight.

Pair your meals with mocktails, cocktails or wine to elevate the flavours of your selected dishes, making it a holistic culinary experience that delights all the senses.

Finestra Italian Steakhouse

Dress up and head over to Finestra Italian Steakhouse for a fine Italian dining experience at Solaire. Step in and be awe by the elegant decor, stunning crystal chandeliers and mesmerizing soulful voice from the live band.

Each meal is a celebration of fresh ingredients and traditional techniques, showcasing the taste of Italy’s rich culinary heritage. The flavors of dishes are well-balanced, flavourful and each was presented with an artistic flair.

Some of the highlights we had were Pan-fried Scallops, US Prime Striploin, Traditional hand-cut Beef Tartare and more.  To end the satisfying meal, I ordered Finestra Tiramisu for desserts. It did not disappoint!

Watch the chef in action prepping your meal, while sipping on a glass of cocktail. Take a seat at the bar or lounge area and enjoy the night over champagne, wine or mocktails while listening to the band. The ambiance makes you feel like you’re in Italy.

Baccarat Room and Bar

At Solaire, we check out the Baccarat Room and Bar. The opulent décor embodies sophistication and elegance. The Baccarat Bar serves an impressive array of cocktails and fine spirits. There’s a live band performing and you can watch the skilled mixologists craft signature cocktails using premium ingredients at the bar.

Settled into the comfy plush seating, ordered ourselves a classic martini as well as bespoke creation, paired with crunchy snacks and catch up over drinks. This is an ideal spot for both casual gatherings and special celebrations.

It was truly an amazing gastronomic culinary experience beyond my imagination at Solaire. The variety of cuisines offers a unique opportunity to explore the world through exceptional flavours and artistry. Each meal is a celebration of culture, tradition, and innovation, creating an unforgettable dining experience.
