Summer is here and the beauty queen in me is heading to Yu Nail + Eyelash Academi Et Salon to get my nails done. Yes, you heard me right , I’m now a huge fan of gel nail art! This salon was introduced to me by my hair stylist Masa-san (from Aki Hair Studio). Arriving at the salon, there’s ample parking space at the basement of Verve Shops @ Mont’ Kiara. Take a lift straight up to Level 6 and you’ll see Yu Nail + Eyelash Academi Et Salon on your right.

Yu Nail + Eyelash Academi Et Salon is based on the same level as Aki Hair Studio (they actually shared the same lot). The clear glass panel against the white setting exterior makes a great place for outdoor photographs.

As I walked closer to the entrance, I caught sight of the pretty flower adorning the ‘door bell’ and I was charmed by it.

The minimalist white interior design continues to flow inside effortlessly. Customers will need to go thru the slide door to enter the salon parlour.

Once inside, the decor of the salon is kept minimal and chic with white and pastels colours as the main focus.  A touch of femininity with whimsical garden atmosphere is the concept for this salon. On the high shelf, there’s a number of certificates awarded to the owner Ms. Yuki-san who has more than 14 years of experience in this industry.  Apart from nails services, Yu Nail + Eyelash Academi Et Salon also offers eyelash extension services and  teaches private classes as well.

Ms.Yuki-san further shared that most of the studs and nail accessories found in the salon are especially imported from Japan as the quality is better. She prefers classic and pastels nail art design which is normally in trend with Japan. Below are some samples of the gorgeous designs.

Nails Collection

I was introduced to her senior manicurist Ms.Miku-san also from Japan who specialises in nail art for more than 9 years. It’s time for my beauty pampering session and I went thru trimming my nails, buffing, polishing and removing dead cuticles before applying gel nail polish.

While I was buffing my nails, I still couldn’t decide on a design as everything look so pretty. Finally, Ms.Yuki-san shown me some magazines and pointed out the latest trend in Japan a.k.a. marble / seashell nail colours. Surprisingly she allowed me to choose a design right off from the magazine and inform me that Miku would be able to do it on the spot. This is certainly unique for other nail salon doesn’t offer this option as they normally just used the monthly nail design samples available.

After deciding on the design, Miku show me the colour palette and I selected two different types of blue colour. Following suit, Miku mixed the colours (reminds of water colouring) to create an unique ocean blue nail colour for me.

Look at the final result, absolutely stunning and gorgeous. This nail colour makes my skin look so much fairer and the studs blinks like a ‘diamond’ (that’s what my son said when he saw my nails 😀 ).

Thanks to Ms.Yuki-san and Ms.Miku-san for having me here. It’s almost 2 weeks since I’ve done my nails and the colours still looks as good as the first time.

I’m definitely recommending Yu Nail + Eyelash Academi Et Salon to my family and friends. If you’re nearby feel free to come over and try their services for yourself.

  1. The pattern looks great but I don’t like how it shows the cuticle between nail and flesh. Can’t they cover your nail entirely?

    1. ooh the last pic you’re referring to is taken after 2 weeks just to show how long lasting this can be. I’ve done gel nail art before some last only 2 weeks and start coming off.

  2. Your nails looks so pretty babe! OMG, wish i could do gel too but think my itchy hands would ruin it
