Whenever I craved for Japanese cuisine, the first thought was let’s go to ‘Sushi Mentai’! Now, if you’re unaware Sushi Mentai serves quality exquisite Japanese cuisine at an affordable price. Bet the word affordable price got your attention but I will not reveal it so soon: P
How did it all begun? Before Sushi Mentai started their F&B operations, they are supplier and wholesaler supplying products to Japanese restaurants in Malaysia for nearly 30 years. Understanding that customers might not be able to afford Japanese cuisines at an expensive price, they decided to kick start their own F&B chain. Hence, Sushi Mentai was born to offer affordable price with good quality Japanese cuisines to the masses.
Operating for the past 7 years, Sushi Mentai has over 40 outlets located around residential areas in Malaysia. In year 2015, they expanded their wings into Singapore too. They are quite stringent when it comes to selecting franchise partners as well.
At Sushi Mentai, one is certainly spoilt for choice as there are more than 50 types of sushi available. Not to mentioned, there’s also an additional 30 choices of special sushi available daily. Are you excited to find out how much does a plate of sushi cost? The concept of price per sushi plate ranges from RM1.80 & RM2.80 on the conveyor. Yup, you heard me right!
What’s more unbelievable is that the price of from RM1.80 & RM2.80 has remain unchanged for the past 7 years! It’s no wonder Sushi Mentai is a favorite among the masses. Apart from sushi, they serve ala-carte menu as well. Some of their best seller includes Maki, Curry rice and many more. They are also extremely well known for their signature ‘Mentai Sauce’ too. Ala-Carte Menu
Salmon, Octopus & White Tuna (3 pcs each) – RM16.80
Served on chilled ice, squeeze the lemon sauce generously on the fresh Norwegian salmon, octopus and white tuna.
Salmon Mentai Dragon Maki (4 pcs) – RM12.80
Prawn sushi roll topped with salmon roasted cod roe was delicious. The generous spread of their signature ‘Mentai’ sauce was to die for!
Ebi Mentaiyaki (2 pcs) – RM9.80
This delish prawn grilled with cod roe is superb. Juicy prawns grill to perfection topped with generous spread of cod roe will drive you wild.
Tempura Moriawase – RM13.80
Classic assorted tempuras served with sauce dipping can never go wrong.
NEW: Spicy Ramen Noodle With Chicken – RM12.80
Ramen lovers rejoiced for you can have it now at Sushi Mentai.
Salmon Teriyaki Don – RM14.80
For something fulfilling, this grilled salmon teriyaki sauce served with fragrant rice and miso soup on the side is a good choice.
Sashimi Salad – RM9.80
If you’re looking for something light and yet fulfilling. This bowl of salad topped with fresh salmon, octopus and white tuna is absolutely perfect. Doused the salad with Japanese dressing to further elevate the flavors.
