When you start ageing like I do, you’ll do almost anything to delay it. I’m sure by now most of you would have heard how important collagen is to our body which can be found in our skin, bones and connective tissue. It’s the most common protein in our body, however as time grows our collagen will deplete naturally. If you have poor lifestyle habits such as smoking, drinking and consuming tons of sugars it will further slows down the reproduction process. As a result, your skin will be more dull and saggy and is prone to fine lines, wrinkles and age spots.
I’ve been trying out a trio of products which nourishes the skin from within with active ingredients that prevent collagen breakdown and stimulate its production. The Face Inc’s Rejuvenate Regime is best used together to maximise skin-revitalising benefits.
CELL RENEWAL (RM198, 30ml)
The first step to correct your skin is by using Cell Renewal. This clear essence contains key ingredients such as Retinol (A form of Vitamin A) that penetrates the skin’s outer layer to repair the dermis where collagen and elastin reside. While Salicylic Acid peels dead skin and promote cell growth. Green Tea Leaf Extract is added as an antioxidant and anti-ageing agent.
As there was no clear instruction on how to use it, I decided to apply it on my palm. It’s a gel like essence with a typical gel scent to it. As it’s meant to ‘peel’ dead skin and promote cell renewal, there’s a tad of stickiness to it.
COLLAGEN BOOST (RM288, 30ml)
Next step is to apply Collagen Boost and I simply love this product. This lightweight moisturizer is extremely gentle on the skin and it’s neither sticky nor oily. It contains the key ingredient Argireline which helps to reduce the appearances of wrinkles and fine lines brought on by repeated facial expression. Yet at the same time, it also helps to increase overall skin firmness and elasticity.
I used this on product and concentrate on certain areas like forehead, eye area and laugh lines. The results is that I saw a noticeable change in my laugh line and eye areas. The fine lines are slightly more diminish and smoother than before.
ANTI OXIDANT (RM268, 30ml)
Complete the final step with Anti Oxidant which contains Vitamin C and Vitamin C Ester to suppress skin pigmentation and improve skin elasticity by stimulating collagen synthesis. This watery gel also controls the effect of photo-damage and slows premature skin ageing as well. It’s not as sticky as Cell Renewal as it’s got a watery consistency to it. After long term usage, I can see my skin is slightly brighten.
I’ve been using the The Face Inc’s Rejuvenate Regime for about 3 weeks and so far I’m happy that my skin is responding well to it. It’s too early to say whether it can prevent premature ageing but I find overall my skin is much smoother and brighter than before.
