Raya is coming and I’ve been craving for some of my favourite Raya food such as curry, rendang, lemang and lots more. Today, I’m sharing the preview of SKY 360° of eCity Hotel at One City which is offering a tantalising Buka Selera Buffet this Ramadan.
You can begin your feast with a generous selection of soups, starters and salads – Sup Ekor Berempah, ulam-ulaman, pasembor penang, Malaysian salads, kerabu, keropok lekor, pickles, and Western salads such as Oyster Mushroom with Olive Oil, Garlic and Balsamic Vinegar, Curried Chicken Salad and Mango Salsa with Avocado Salsa, and Mixed Bean Salad with Basil Pesto, Tomato, Lime and Chili Prawn.
If you prefer making your own salad, head over to the salad bar and tossed it up with with a selection of lettuce, condiments and dressings. Also check out the fresh seafood counter with prawns and mussels as well. At must try is the tasty Pasembor.
Now, there’s also the Ramadan Corner (my favourite) that offers lemang, serunding ayam and serunding daging. Tossed it up with the special kuah kacang and you’ll be back for more.
A buffet spread is not complete without wholesome main dishes to fill our tummies. At SKY 360°, you’ll find an amazing spread such as Nasi Hujan Panas, Ayam Percik with Almond Flakes, Kurma Daging with Potato, Sambal Sotong Petai, Oven Roasted Leg of Lamb, Ikan Pari Asam Pedas, Udang Goreng Kacang Buncis, and Potato Masala.
Some local dishes served in a stall concept are Pan Mee, Char Kuew Teow and Hainanese Chicken Rice. The Hainanese Chicken Rice was pretty good, the chicken meat was soft and tender. You can also opt for either roast, steam or mix chicken platter.
SKY 360° also dishes up some international food as well. A must try is the Roasted Leg of lamb with Thyme and Mint Sauce as well as the exquisite Peking Duck. There is also the teppanyaki station, pizza station, and pasta counter to choose from.
Out at the open air patio, a Barbecue Corner is available and serves freshly grilled Daging Bakar, Ikan Cencaru Kelapa, Ikan Pari Bakar, Ikan Tilapia Bakar, Udang Percik, Ketam Bunga Bakar, Satay Ayam, Satay Daging and Satay Kambing.
Last but not least a meal is never complete without desserts. Let’s indulge in delectable desserts from the Snow Ice Station, the Malay Kuih Section (Kuih Seri Muka, Kuih Sago, Pulut Panggang, Kuih Ketayap, Lepat Ubi and Tako Siam), and the Western Dessert Selection (Fruit Tartlets, Crème Caramel, Blueberry Cheese Cake, Pineapple Tarts and Cherry Clafoutis). Also available are hot desserts such as Pengat Keladi, Putu Piring Putu Mayam and Soya Bean with Snow Fungus. My favourite dessert would have to be the Pendat Durian which is creamy and filled with tasty durian meat.
Enjoyed the meal and quench your thirst with a selection of tasty drinks such as Air Bandung, Air Tebu, Air Cincau, Sirap and Air Kurma. After dessert, wash it down with a cup of hot coffee, tea and teh tarik.
The Buka Selera Buffet is available from 6th June – 5th July 2016. With every 10 paying adults, the next diner dines for free. Pricing as follows:
- Adults – RM128 nett
- Children (below the age of 12 years) & Senior citizens (60 years and above) – RM64 nett
- *Kids below 3 years old, eat for free.
