It was a night to remember as Putien celebrates its 16th Anniversary in a cozy dinner with close friends and members of the media. This night was extremely special as Putien was awarded ONE STAR Michelin AWARD for its Kitchener Road Outlet by the inaugural MICHELIN Guide SIngapore 2016. A hearty congratulations to Putien!
The event started with a delightful tea ceremony to be followed by a light-hearted tete-a-tete session with Putien’s General Manager, Ms. Caren Poon, who divulged insights on Putien’s inspiring success story. (Refer for the full story). Putien also invited a special guest – Ms. Sabrina Tang who’s a regular patron and shared her thoughts why Putien is her choice of restaurant.
Today also marks the introduction to Putien Festival – a celebration featuring Festival Roadshows and new menu comprising of several sumptuous selections of new dishes like ‘Yan Pi’ Fish Maw Soup, Deep Fried Yellow Croaker and Strawberry Prawn.
This bowl of hearty warmth soup is filled with ‘seafood’ goodness such as Scallops and Fish Maw. It’s sweetly divine and refreshing to consume.
Marinated with premium peppercorn and sea salt for 25 hours before deep frying to crispiness yet retaining tender and juicy meat within. This fish taste so good that we polish it within seconds it was served.
What an interesting dish, deep fried prawns coated with strawberry sauce and topped with strawberry cubes. If you like berries, then this dish will suit your palate.
We also had our fill with other in-house signature signature dishes such as Putien Style Century Egg, Braised Putien Handmade Bean Curd, Putien Lor Mee, Chilled Lemongrass Jelly with Fruits and many more.
The night ended with a cake cutting ceremony but in cupcake style. Some of the cupcakes have a surprise in it and a couple of guests walked away winning exclusive treats.
It was truly an enjoyable night as we fill our tummy with delicious Chinese cuisines in Putien. By the way, remember that I mentioned there’s a Putien Festival Roadshow happening this month?
