Magnum Kuala Lumpur is the first Magnum Pleasure Store in the world with two infinity bars. Situated in Mid Valley Megamall, the pleasure store spanning across two floors exudes a contemporary, classy and artistic interior which easily fits up to 100 people and is also available for private function bookings.
I had the pleasure to be invited to attend their food review which reveals its new signature specialities featuring an exciting array of food and desserts. Before we start the meal, each of us were served with a Magnum Vanilla ice cream immersed in sirap bandung. Such a yummylicious way to kick start our meal!

Next, we were served with appetizers known as Chicken Toasties, deep fry minced chicken spread on toast, served with spicy chunky tomato dip. Lightly toasted to create a crunchy feeling and mixed with aromatic spices, it smells absolutely heavenly.

(RM 20.00 for sharing portion)
After enjoying the delicious appetizer, we were looking forward to the main course. First up, was Oxtail soup with sushi rice a new idea to incorporate Japanese & Malay cuisine together. A spicy and hearty beef broth with vegetable and shallots rice with fish crackers. Not only does it looks good but taste even better.

Next, we were served with 3 different types of pastas. The pastas portion are quite huge and it ‘s meant to be a sharing portion for 2 pax.
- Chicken Rendang Pasta (RM36.00) – Malaysian inspired spicy chicken rendang with pasta
- Aglio Olio with Shrimps (RM40.00) – Tossed with garlic, chili padi and olive oil.
- Carbonara Pasta (RM46.00) – Button mushroom, beef bacon and creamy cheese sauce.

I find the Chicken Rendang pasta a tad too oily for my liking as for the Aglio Olio it was slightly spicy. My favourite pasta was definitely the Carbonara (filled with generous cheese toppings). After filling my stomach with main course, I was looking forward to my favourite ‘dessert’ time. However, Magnum has a surprised in store for us. They invited us to create our own unique Magnum ice cream at the counter.

I selected almond nuts, rose petals and chocolate chip cookies for my condiments. The creation was so beautiful , that I was quite reluctant to eat it.

Well, I managed to polish my ice-cream while waiting for them to served Death By Chocolate, baked to order warm chocolate molten lava cake, magnum chocolate brownies ice cream with chocolate crunch pearls.

Although, there were a few misses in the pasta but overall not too bad. Loved the chef for its creativity in the new fusion dishes. There’s no doubt that these divine creations are meant to tantalize the pleasure seekers in you!
