A Visit To Chocolate Museum and Shop Kota Damansara

Chocolate Museum

Ever heard of a Chocolate Museum located at Kota Damansara? Well, now you’ve heard it on my blog. This Chocolate Museum is the 1st in Malaysia and Southeast Asia and has been operating since 2013 by Dr Group Holdings Sdn Bhd.

I was stoked to receive an invitation to attend an event with media and fellow bloggers last weekend. To save myself from getting lost, I set my waze the day before and it’s easy- peasy; just key in ‘Chocolate Museum’ and voila it’ll pop out. I arrived early for the event and quickly find a shaded spot to park my car (Note: Ample parking space is available here). After which, I headed over to the The Museum Café where all the media was gathered for the grand tour.

Our tour guide for that day was Mr. Azuan Arshad, Manager of Chocolate Museum. He shares with us the (3Es) unique proposition off Chocolate Museums which consists of Education, Experience and Enjoyment. He furthered revealed, as part of the company corporate social responsibility, they do not charged entrance fee to the Museum.

Firstly, Education whereby we can learn the origins of chocolates, its health benefits and the machinery used to concoct it.

Second, Experience is where we can watch live demonstration of chocolate making by experience chocolatiers. Truly an eye-opening experience! (Note: Demonstration is only available at 12pm & 3pm daily)

Lastly, Enjoyment represents shopping where we can shop madly for our favourite chocolates at the Chocolate Galleria. The Chocolate Museums carries more than 30 popular international brands ranging from local products such as Fidani, Danson and Millton to international brands such as Cadbury, Hershey’s, Lindt and lots more. All this for an irresistible price, so be sure to bring more moolah!

By the way, Fidani can also be exclusively ordered as gifts for corporate functions or wedding ceremonies, take a look at the beautiful designs *wow wow*

Next on the itinerary is ‘Sculpting Your Dream Home Chocolate Challenge’. We were gathered in a group of 5 pax and were given 20KG of chocolates to work on. Of course, we’re also supplied with decorative items such as biscuits, marshmallows and candy frostings. Honestly, it was tough, the chocolate has to be handled delicately and if you hold it for too long it’ll melt. An hour was given and boy did the time flew by fast. Winners was judged based on creativity, details and cleanliness. Although my team didn’t win but we had great fun.

We were informed that Chocolate Museum has plans to introduced ‘Chocolate Sculpting Competition’ in the near future and we were given first opportunity to try it out! Stay tuned to their Website  or Facebook Page for more details will be revealed later on.

The Museum welcomes walk-in visitors every day, however for group visits, feel free to book an appointment at 03-7490 4260 or email [email protected] . We ended the day with refreshments before heading home for the day.
