Ramadan is the time to gathered with friends and family for a grand feast. Pullman KLCC definitely tops the bar by inviting Celebrity Chef Norman Musa, Europe’s leading award-winning UK based Malaysian Chef and official food ambassador for Kuala Lumpur to serve up authentic Malay dishes with a British twist. The ‘Buka Puasa’ feast was held at Eccucino Restaurant recently and I was stoked to be invited to it.

Chef Norman and the hotel’s team of skilled chefs have prepared a spectacular buffet spread of more than 100 must have buka puasa dishes. The main highlight of the buffet includes Rendang Beef Wellington, Rendang Scotch Eggs and Rack of Lamb with Water Parsley and Cheese as well as classic favourites such as traditional Beef Rendang Tok and Chicken Curry Kapitan. From the major highlights, I would highly recommend the Rendang Beef Wellington that’s got juicy spicy beef wrapped in crusty pastry and Beef Rendang Tok which is packed with flavours and wonderful aroma of spices.

Other local favourites was the mouth-watering Ayam Masak Lemak Cili Api, Kambing Masala, Gulai Udang Batang Keladi Kelantan, Ketupat and Lemang served with beef and chicken serunding. Also do check out the ‘goreng-goreng’ stall serving banana and cempedak fritters and seafood selections featuring assorted fish,crabs, prawns and clams.

I love greens and certainly had a delightful time tasting the ulam-ulam kampung with sambal, kerabus with assorted crackers with sauces and bubur lambuk.

Guests should check out the inventive salad bar to create their very own special salad jar. The winner will win a 2D/1N stay in a Junior Suite in Pullman KLCC! *I participated so wish me luck 😀 *

While enjoying our meal, we were treated to a fashion show by well-known Malaysian couture designer Carven Ong, who showcased his exquisite ‘Songket’ collection to us. Absolutely fabulous!

To our delight, Celebrity Chef Norman Musa held a live cooking demonstration on the spot and it was truly an eye-opener to learn from him. You can catch him at Pullman KLCC for his special appearances on 14, 22, 25 and 30 June 2016.

As usual, I ended my meal checking out the dessert section which features a variety of local and western desserts, fresh fruits, teh tarik and lots more. There are plenty of ice cream flavours available for my picking as well as our local ‘Malaysian’ favourite the ‘ABC’ comes with tons of condiments.
Pullman KLCC’s ‘Berbuka with Celebrity Chef Norman Musa’ will be available from 6th June – 5th July 2016 at 6.30pm-9.30pm daily. Price as follows:
