I’ve been really busy since starting a new job and there was no time to cook a proper meal. We all know how long it takes to cook a decent meal for the entire family. If you’ve got two fussy eaters like my little boys, well it’s got to take more time. Fret not, busy mommies for there’s a magic pot available to save our day. (sounds like a genie right :P)
Do you all still remember how I was raving about Philips All-in-One Pressure Cooker ? This is the magic pot that I was referring to earlier. Imagine a wonder pot that can sauté, sear, bake, reheat and warm up our meals in one go! Aint’ that amazing! I’ve been making some simple dishes using it. It’s now time to level my cooking and Raya is the perfect time to do it.
I recently attended Philips Raya Cooking Workshop with Chef Marina Mustafa at Philips Service Centre. At the workshop, we get to learn from Chef Marina, famous Raya dishes such as Lemang, Rendang Tok, Otak -Otak and Seri Kaya Bakar. The Lemang, Rendang and Otak Otak was cooked using Philips All-in-One Pressure Cooker. Whilst, the dessert Seri Kaya Bakar was made using Philips Air Fryer.
At the workshop, Mr Muhammad Ali Jaleel, Country Manager for Philips Malaysia shared ‘Hari Raya Aidilfitri is a time when tradition is most treasured and celebrated, where families and friends come together to strengthen ties, typically over delectable, home-cooked meals. Marrying tradition with technology is Philips’ way of enhancing appreciation for tradition – by putting traditional cuisine firmly in place in the 21st century kitchen. We want to help Malaysians #StandForTradition by offering innovative solutions that make it easy and convenient to incorporate tradition in their daily lives’
That’s so true, for newbies cook like me, I need not worry about my cooking skills and yet am able to dish up tasty meals for the family is just perfect. Thanks to the technology of the Philips All-in-One Pressure Cooker, cooking can be speeded up as much as up to eight times faster!
In just one appliance, we can slow cook and pressure cook while still ensuring the nutrients and goodness in meals are well-preserved. These cooking methods are indeed ideal for Hari Raya delicacies such as the much-loved beef rendang, lamb stews, or curries. Hot favourites for this festive season such as the lemang that goes with these stew-like foods can also be cooked in the All-in-One Pressure Cooker, as with other rice dishes such as briyani rice, or even plain white rice.
Aside from pressure cooking and slow cooking, the versatile All-in-One Pressure Cooker can saute, sear or bake favourite Raya desserts such as kek gula hangus, a brown sponge-like cake, and dodol can be easily made using this appliance.
Being a user of the the All-in-One Pressure Cooker, let me share that this wonder pot offers you an ease of mind to tend to other task while cooking. This is because the inner pot is made from aluminium alloy and has an anti-scratch, non-stick golden Whitford coating that is durable and offers effective heat conduction, resulting in evenly cooked food.
Hold your horses, the best has yet to come. The cooking timer is programmable to your recipe. Hence, leaving it to cook by itself is not a problem. When the food is ready, the timer automatically turns off, the pressure regulator within the pot then works to release pressure from the cooker. ‘Voila’ your food is ready-to-serve right out of the pot!
Last but not least, the All-in-One Pressure Cooker has a reheat and warm settings button. Thus, our food is always kept fresh and warm without having to rehear it separately using other kitchen appliances.
Wondering how much this wonder pot cost? The Philips All-in-One Pressure Cooker (HD2137/62) is sold at a recommended retail price of RM799 only! You can find it at the Philips Brand Store in Publika Shopping Gallery and The Gardens Mid Valley, both in Kuala Lumpur, and in Sutera Mall, Johor Bahru; at the Philips Experience Store in Menara Axis, Petaling Jaya; at retail partners and distributor stores nationwide and online via the Philips Online Shop at https://www.shop.philips.com.my/
Thanks to Philips Malaysia for holding this session with Chef Marina, I can’t wait to go home and try the recipe out for myself.
