Delectable Chinese New Year Menu @ The Forum KL, Sri Hartamas

The Forum KL

I used to work in Sri Hartamas and was always on the hunt for good food with great ambience. On some days I will splurge for a good luncheon with my colleagues. One of their top favourite place to go to was The Forum KL. Once there, I was hooked and have continue to be a patron there.

Take a look at the warm and welcoming ambience, doesn’t it makes you feel like home *wink*

Recently, I had the pleasure to taste The Forum KL, Chinese New Year 2018 Menu! One can opt to choose between Set A or B which consists of 3 course meal at just a price of RM58! My review today consist a combination of both sets, let’s go!

Set A: Fresh Salmon Yee Sang

The Forum KL

Let’s toss to a year of prosperity and abundance with this bowl of Fresh Salmon Yee Sang! It consists of crisp foo chuk, purple cabbage, pickle, carrots, peanuts and sesame. Topped with generous fresh salmons with mandarin oranges too! This portion is good to be shared among two person.

Set B: A Duo OF Baked Bean & Salted Egg Paus

The Forum KL

Don’t be fool by the look of the simple paus. One bite of it and you’ll be craving for more.

Here’s a closer look of the oozing baked bean fillings.

Set B: Steamed chicken and fish “siew mai”

The Forum KL

Yeap, if you’ve got Dim Sum cravings, get it fixed by ordering this ‘siew mai’. It’s served together with 3 different kind of sauces – sweet, chilly and wasabi sauce. Since, I’ve never tasted wasabi dipping before, I’m surprised by the burst of flavours which blends in smoothly. Bet you’ll love it like I do! By the way, you can either opt for chicken or fish ‘siew mai’.

Ste A: Spaghetti Aglio Olio with Grilled Chicken

The Forum KL

For mains, we’ve got al-dente spicy pasta with grilled chicken and topped with garlic bread.

Set A: Udon Wok Fried with Kimchi , fresh vegetables , seaweed and sesame

The Forum KL

Lovers of Japanese dishes will simply love this fusion creation. I just loved the spiciness taste in the kimchi which compliments really well with sweet flavoured udon sauce. It’s served with edamame and tempura vegetables on the side.

Set A & B: Cake Of The Day

The Forum KL

Always end my meals with desserts and The Forum does have one of the best chocolate mousse in town. The beautifully decorated chocolate dome uses Oreo Cookies as its base. Each bite is truly decadent and sinful!

The Forum KL

I’ve made a pact to meet my ex-colleagues for a CNY luncheon, needless to say we’ve all agreed to go for The Forum KL! By the way, The Forum KL will be open as usual during CNY. If you’re nearby, do swing by and check out their Chinese New Year menu.

WISHING EVERYONE A HAPPY CHINESE NEW YEAR IN ADVANCE!
