In Malaysia, the astounding numbers of new restaurants or café are still on the rise. Each with their own unique concept to ensure the restaurant stands out amongst the crowds. Introducing Dodo Dim Sum & Bowls, the first multicultural restaurant in Malaysia offering dim sum and Thai delights. Own by Ri-Yaz Global Food Brands, a subsidiary of the Ri-Yaz Group, food lovers get to enjoy Sifu Lee’s take on handcrafted dim sum classics and Chef Khun Ben on authentic Thai street food.
It’s pretty convenient to get to Dodo Dim Sum & Bowls’ as the restaurant is strategically-located in Subang Parade mall. Walking into the modern, bright, cheerful and stylish interiors: diners can immediately whip their phone out for some insta-worthy moment!

So what’s recommended for diners to order? Try ordering some of the authentic handcrafted dishes prepared by Sifu Lee and his team includes the steaming hot traditional “Lo Mai Kai”, Spicy Chicken Feet, Siew Mai Dumplings, “Har Gow” prawn dumplings, Charcoal Custard Buns with salted egg yolk filling, Minced Meat Dumpling with green chives and assorted Chee Cheong Fun, featuring the chef’s recommended Honey BBQ Chee Cheong Fun. There is also Stir Fried Radish Cake in Dodo style, Crispy Mashed Taro Pie, “Woh Tip” dumpling with shredded ginger and vinegar and Shanghai Pancake that can’t be missed during your dim sum date.
I loved the taste of the sweet ‘Loh Mai Kai’ and the oozing Charcoal Custard Buns with salted egg yolk filling. Definitely agreed that Honey BBQ Chee Cheong Fun is one of the best dish that night. However, the Stir Fried Radish Cake in Dodo style is extremely delightful to eat as well!
For Thai food lovers, don’t miss the highlights from the menu prepared by Chef Khun Ben, such as the four different types of Thai Broth Boat Noodles (Nam Tok, Khao Soi, Tom Yum, Nam Sai), Khao Klukh Krapi shrimp paste rice, Crispy Som Tam, Gai Pad Prik Pao chicken wings and Mango Sticky Rice.
All the boat noodles are delicious with tasty broth and noodles cooked to perfection. The Khao Klukh Krapi shrimp spice paste rice and sweet Mango Sticky Rice is a must order too!

I’m glad to have found a new restaurant to enjoy scrumptious dim sum with delish Thai food. Can’t wait for Ri-Yaz Global Food Brands to launch more Dodo Dim Sum & Bowls branches at popular malls in the Klang Valley.
