Parents are definitely busy as a bee during the school holidays breaks in December bringing the kids out for activities. With Christmas fast approaching and numerous malls sprouting Christmas decors, my kids wondered ‘how’ it feels to experience winter season. Unfortunately, Malaysia doesn’t have winter neither autumn season. However, there’s a place we can go to enjoy some ‘Winter’ moments! Wanna take a guess where? It’s the SnoWalk located at i-city Shah Alam. Thus, I bundled my family and headed there to experience Winter Wonderland!
If you’re unaware, i-City SnoWalk Shah Alam is a unique leisure attraction for families and friends to explore the joy of winter throughout the year. Yup, you heard me right 365 days of unlimited fun in the snow! Located at Shah Alam, i-city is easily accessible via NKVE and Federal Highway. You can also book yourself into Best Western Hotel and enjoy a weekend staycation there.
After purchasing our tickets, we headed to the counter to redeem our ‘winter boots’. Do note, that we brought along our own stockings and winter hands gloves. For forgetful parents, fret not as you can opt to purchase it there as well *wink*
Then, we placed our things into the locker which is available for rent at RM3. After changing our shoes, we headed to collect our winter jackets.
Woah check out the colorful jackets available …
The moment we step in, be prepared for a blast of cold icy wind below 8 degrees Celsius. My kids were unafraid of the cold and was running everywhere excited as a mouse.
With the new expansion up to 2 football fields, the all new SnoWalk skillfully placed ice carvings depicting live-sized cartoons, vehicles, underwater world, animals and so forth. It feels like you’re visiting the ‘North Pole’ as SnoWalk with its numerous ice cravings displayed for us to touch and feel.
Both of my kids were squealing with excitement and joy when they touched the sculptures and white man-made snow! Some of the ice sculptures we spotted along in SnoWalk includes Ice Car, Train, Igloo, Mermaids, Pirates, Snowmans and many more.
Apart from ice sculpture for insta-worthy photos moments, see we are all busy posing away like supermodels. *LOLX*
Feel free to explore the numerous slides available. Both of my kids taking a turn on the slides…it took me sometime to convince them to move on.
I also spotted a slide for adults and I tooked a spin on it. It was amazingly fun!
There’s also a football field complete with ice block as seats. First time, my kids played football in the winter!
Although we can spend hours in there, the place is really chilly. Took a break and step out into the ‘rest areas’ to warm up our body before having another go at it.
The last station is definitely a huge surprised as its actually a snowing station, equipped with slides, snowman, Christmas trees and even a winter home. Needless to say, the kids screamed in excitement and started having a go at the slides. Whilst, me and daddy continue snapping pictures in Winter Wonderland.
After spending a few hours in SnoWalk, it’s time to leave. My kids made me promised to bring them again to enjoy the snow again! Now, you don’t even need to travel overseas to enjoy Winter moments, just head over to SnoWalk i-city *wink*
