Jubilicious Christmas Treats at Cinnamon Coffee House ,One World Petaling Jaya

Yuletide seasons around the corner… the only time of the year where I look forward to enjoy a good meal of traditional roast turkey. If you are like me that enjoy seasonal food, this is definitely a place that you could fill your stomach till you turn.

One World’s Cinnamon Coffee House did its best to ensure that we kick off the buffet spread with seasonal Christmas fare and slowly moving towards to local cuisine and Japanese food. It’s a good way to feast your eyes before you begin your glutinous journey. Look at the bright side, the time that I spent in gym (sweats and tears)… it’s all worthwhile for this journey.

Greeted by sweet desserts as I entered Cinnamon Coffee House.

I started off with their wide selection of cold spreads of salad and cheese. For those of whom fancy a dose of Blue cheese, this is the right place to be. For those which had no idea… give it a try. Be warned, it’s an acquired taste like the Durian. I personally enjoy it but my other half would just refuse to have a nibble at it (and I am missing my wine too…)

Next I moved on the head turner of the fete, the turkey. The golden crisp bird, which is festooned with kaleidoscope of buttered vegetables, bread, chestnut or mushroom and flanked with cranberry and giblet sauce. The meat is firm, tender and yet full of flavours.   I wish that I could have more but simply I cannot resist having the Roasted Leg of Lamb with Garlic and Rosemary as well.

Apart from this two main dish attraction, they had an abundant spread of international favourites such as Seafood Au Gratin, Chicken Cordon Bleu, Baked Sea Bass with Garlic Cream Sauce, Beef Medallion with Onion Marmalade to name a few.  However, what I didn’t expect was the carefully arranges sushi and sashimi spread.

Finally, it’s dessert time. My partner in crime has already started way ahead of me. Some were to beautifully to be eaten and some were hidden secret waiting to be uncover.  There is only one advise… check out the photos. It’s says a thousand words!

The best hidden secret! Asked for the Homemade Ice-cream and go crazy on the Chocolate Fondue. Special advisory note! Please eat this combination last, or else you won’t stop eating! I had to serving and my partner had to stop me. I had try numerous Chocolate Fondue before but this was one of the best, the cocoa is thick but it’s not too overly bitter or sweet (psst… the chocolate is imported from Italy and I can’t get them to disclose the brand). When paired with their Homemade Ice-cream, it bring out the best in both of them. (I am not going to disclose the flavor… *hint* … usually what fruit goes well Neapolitan traditional ice-cream?).  I still cannot fathom how I had 6 scoops of ice cream and binging on the Fondue. My take – it’s worth dying for!
