Being a sweet tooth person, I loved all types of chocolates and ice cream. However, that also means I’m eating tons of calories into my body. Yogurt is a good option to replace my ice cream cravings and I recently came across Spanish sensational yogurt llaollao. This is by far one of the best yogurt ice cream I’ve ever tasted, rich and creamy in texture it’ll have you begging for more.
Pronounced as ‘yao yao’, llaollao is produced fresh on the spot. Made from skimmed milk, a tub of llaollao yogurt contains 46% of your recommended daily allowance of calcium. Although it is low in fat, calories and gluten free, rest assure its still as tasty as ever.
Newly opened at Level 3, Mid Valley Megamall (right in front of World of Feng Shui), llaollao offers a wide range of toppings, which range from fresh fruits and sauces, to crunches such as cereals, brittle, caramelised seeds, muesli, cookies, nuts and even classics like KitKat®, OREO®, Toblerone® and Chips Ahoy!®. All of these crunches and sauces are imported from Europe and to keep it exciting new toppings will be introduce each season.
llaollao is available in several varieties such as Tubs, Sensations, Granillao, Sanum and Smoothies. Price range from RM10.90 to RM18.90 and it’s subjective to the size selection and added toppings.
The flagship product, Sanum (RM18.90), is a yogurt parfait that comprises three layers of fresh fruits and two layers of crunch, topped with a sauce of your choice.I selected Sanum to share with Fiona (another blogger) as the serving is quite huge. We opt for wild strawberry sauce and filled it fresh fruits such as strawberry, blueberries and kiwi. For crunches, we selected Filipino biscuit with white chocolate and caramelized sunflower seeds.
It was so yummy – full of rich fruity flavours, sweet crunches and creamy smooth yogurt. (Do take note the yogurt ice cream melts faster than normal ice cream)
According to Mr. Tan Kai Young, Director of Petra Empire Sdn Bhd, he plans to establish 35 outlets by year 2018 across Malaysia. Currently, available in Pavilion Kuala Lumpur and Mid Valley Megamall, the next outlet to open would be in Avenue K on 24th December 2015, which is strategically located at the exit of the LRT Station. Next year, keep a lookout as llaollao will be opening in Sunway Pyramid and Penang respectively.
