I’ve got a love hate relationship with liquid nail polish. I loved the colours but hate the down time requires to dry. I was stoked to discovered LOVE NAIL stickers at their launch recently. What’s LOVE NAIL? Its nail applique in innovative stickers form thus we can now replace this with the conventional liquid nail polish. The stickers are made from special elastic material that enables bending and shaping to create a perfect finishing on nails of any size, length and shape.
At the event, it was demonstrated how flexible we can shape the stickers onto our nails. Not only that, LOVE NAIL stickers are produced using 100% nail polish thus providing glossy luster that’s similar to professional nail polish. It can last for a maximum of 14 days and can be easily removed with nail polish remover. Plus, there’s no down time to wait for it to dry. Another thing that I was worried about was whether my nails will turn yellow as stickers are non-breathable. However with LOVE NAIL, its unique surface has invisible hotels which allow our nails to ‘breathe’ which is so awesome!

We were then set to a challenge of doing our own nails in 20 minutes with LOVE NAIL. Check out my DIY manicurist moment and step by step guide:
- Select the nail polish strip most suitable for my nails dimension. (Note: It’s better to select a nail strip that’s 1mm size smaller than your nail size to avoid excessive filing)
- Remove top and bottom transparent layers
- Gently stick along my nail’s edges & stretch to fit
- Use the wooden stick to gently smooth the nail strip to fit better
- File off excess in a downward motion
Although there’s no down time required try avoiding using our fingers for at least 5 – 20 minutes in order for the adhesion to dry. Next, when filing off excess strips always remember to do in downward motion otherwise the edges will ripped off easily. Thirdly, any unused nail strips must be utilised within 14 days of its opening, otherwise it’ll harden. Truthfully, it’s tougher than it looks and took me a few tries before I succeeded.
