It’s Time For Teacher’s To Shine With McDonald’s Anugerah Guru Inspirasi

Back in my school days, I always felt that my teachers are pretty awesome. They have the patience of a saint and provide me guidance whenever I need it. For me, they were pretty inspiring and that motivates me to perform better in school. Now, you get the chance to nominate your favourite teacher for Anugerah Guru Inspirasi (AGI) by McDonald’s Malaysia.  Back for the fourth year running and is calling for nomination submissions nationwide starting from today until 30 March 2020. Malaysians can share stories about how teachers have inspired them or their children to succeed and fulfil their potential, to accomplish more than they thought was possible.

In the lead up to the National Teachers’ Day on 16 May 2020, AGI gives Malaysians an opportunity to shine the spotlight on their inspirational teachers that often go beyond their call of duty. This award will be given to 25 most inspiring teachers and each will receive RM5,000 in cash, a trophy, a sash, and a certificate of recognition at a ceremony organized by their respective schools in conjunction with Teachers’ Day. Malaysians who nominate the awarded recipients will also be receiving RM200 worth of McDonald’s gift vouchers.

AGI which was first launched in 2017, has since received encouraging response with over 11,500 submissions and has awarded 56 teachers nationwide. It is McDonald’s flagship initiative under the #McDSayangCikgu program which seeks to appreciate and celebrate inspiring teachers who go the extra mile for their students.
