Chinese New Year has barely settled and we’re now looking forward to Valentine. To me, Valentine is the day to recapture the magic and rekindle the romance with my beloved. I’m out on the hunt to look for a restaurant or café to have a romantic candlelight dinner with him. I might have just found the perfect menu and location. Today, I’m here to share my two cents on Le Pont Boulangerie et Café – Rendezvous Of Romance Valentine’s Set Menu.
At Le Pont Boulangerie et Café, the Rendezvous Of Romance Valentine’s Set Menu For Two includes an appetiser and main course starting from the price of RM45.90 – RM48.90. Just select which main course you will prefer. Whilst drinks and desserts are not included thus it’s charged accordingly to your choice of selection. Let’s check out the menu!
APPETISER (2 CHOICES FOR SELECTION)
MIXED FRUIT SALAD
A refreshing toss of fresh oranges, strawberries, blueberries, pomegranate and leafy greens with orange vinaigrette. The overall sweetness and tanginess taste is simply addictive. Topped with a sprinkle of almond to give it that extra crunch. I definitely vouched for this!
ASSORTED TAPAS TRIO
Trio platted combination featuring deep fried cranberry cream cheese with blueberry sauce, foie gars mousse with balsamic strawberry salted crust and smoked salmon with mango salsa. Each tapas has its own unique taste. Try it if you loved a variety of interesting flavours.
MAIN COURSE (2 CHOICES FOR SELECTION)
BAKED CHICKEN ROULADE – RM45.90
Moist and tender chicken breast stuffed with flavoursome spinach mousseline with sautéed vegetables on the bottom. Pour in the fragrant herb chicken broth for that extra punch. Definitely, must try!
SOUS VIDE PACIFIC CATCH– RM48.90
A beautifully plated Barramundi cooked in souv vide style and cauliflower puree accompanied by sautéed vegetables was truly a delight to eat. The dollops of beet root sauce and pesto oil created a burst of flavours that simply rock my palate! Another, must try dish as well!
DRINKS
Le Pont Boulangerie et Café has prepared 2 new drinks for the Valentine’s Menu. Paired your menus with either the PINK PASSION – a Fizzy Concoction of raspberry and passion fruits, topped with plum fruit foam. Bubbly fruity soda with a refreshing taste. While the other is TWILIGHT TANGO– Aromatic mixtures of juniper berry, coriander seed, bayleaf and fresh dill. This tasted like gin tonic but gradually it turned into a bittersweet taste. I think the ladies will love the Pink Passion while the guys will opt for Twilight Tango.
DESSERTS
NOIR CHOCOLATE FONDUE – RM39.90
This fondue can be shared with your beloved. A fondue with warm dark cocoa served alongside marshmallows, juicy grapes, fresh strawberries, fragrant butter cake, soft peanut butter cookies, crisp signature Le Pont waffles and two scoops of vanilla or strawberry sorbet ice cream.
POACHED STRAWBERRIES – RM16.90
Look at the gorgeous bowl of slow poached strawberries with cream diplomat, topped off with a beautifully crafted red rose is sure to melt your heart. The generous sprinkles of coco rumbles mix together with the sweet strawberry is really scrumptious. My palate was asking for more and I vouched for this dessert!

LOVER’S DIP – RM45.90
Featuring golden John Dory and calamari with homemade batter, cheese chicken sausage and chicken sausage. Dip your favourite item with any of the 4 mini bowls of sauces such as Dijon Mustard, Sauerkraut, Pomodoro & Aioili.
I enjoyed every single bit and morsel of Le Pont Boulangerie et Café – Rendezvous Of Romance Valentine’s Set Menu. Although the choices for set menu is limited, the chef has done a good job in offering unique and creative dishes.
