I’m beginning to enjoy this monthly food session where we can fully immerse ourselves with the “Just Made Right” essence of CONNOR’S Stout Porter. Today, my CONNOR’S Experience is happening at #TheBBP which is located at The Club, Bandar Utama, Petaling Jaya. This restaurant is definitely a cool place to hang out as it has an al-fresco concept dining situated outdoors whilst indoors boasts comfy sofas and chic décor. With its outdoor open pub concept, this place is great to chill out with friends whilst enjoying the cool windy breeze in the evening. Inspired by CONNOR’S Stout Porter with its unique balanced taste, BBP has selected many of its most popular dishes to infuse with CONNOR’S Stout Porter. I’ll be reviewing 5 of the brand new CONNOR’S- infused dishes and I just can’t wait to sink my teeth into it!
Our first appetizer to arrive was Caramelized CONNOR’S Pork Belly with Kyuri served with fresh greens on the side. This dish certainly packed a punch for the fine pork belly is caramelized using CONNOR’S Stout Porter and melted cheese. The taste is a unique balanced of sweetness with roasty undertone flavors and a tinge of spiciness to perk you up.
Another interesting dish served was Braised meat ball with sweet onion CONNOR’s sauce. A classic dish which was braised for more than 4 hours using rich spices and infused with CONNOR’S Stout Porter, brings a whole new level of taste to the dish. Dip the sundry tomato bread into the thick robust flavoured CONNOR’S sauce and my palate was asking for more. Truly an interesting dish!
A popular dish in BBP is the Sausage Platter that has Spicy Hungarian, German Pepper, Bacon Brawust and Chorizo. The sausages are char grilled over the BBQ and sweet honey CONNOR’S Stout Porter sauce was used to glazed all over the sausages. A mixture of sweet and saltiness combination that complements each other really well. It’s served together with caramelized onion and dipping sauces on the side.
The next dish Slow Cook Pork Belly with CONNOR’S & Spices served with bacon mash and pork crackers was truly tantalizing. Marinated with secret spices and using CONNOR’S Stout Porter to braise for more than two hours or until tender; the pork belly fully absorbs the sweet sauce which is rich with robust flavours. The juicy pork belly simply melts in my mouth and it’s my favourite dish for the night!
Last dish for the night is Barbeque CONNOR’S Honey Spare Ribs served with grill vegetables was another tempting delight. Imagine 800grams of juicy and tender pork spare ribs, grilled over wood and glazed with sweet honey CONNOR’S Stout Porter sauce just got me salivating. The juicy tender ribs just simply falls apart on its own. Succulent and sweet the honey pork ribs carries a tinge of the unique balanced taste of CONNOR’S Stout Porter.
It was truly a ‘porky feast’ that night and every infused- CONNOR’S dish served complements really well with our pints of CONNOR’S Stout Porter.
