This season is all about Nude Makeup the all-time favourite classic glam look. I was stoked to be invited to the Nude Glam Workshop with Physicians Formula organised by Watsons. The hands on beauty workshop will introduced us to two (2) different makeup looks based on Asian and Western take on nude glam.
After a quick introduction by Jill Yong, MUA, we were more than eager to try out the gorgeous Shimmer Strips All-in-1 Custom Nude Palette for Face & Eyes and Shimmer Strips Custom Eye Enhancing Makeup Shadow & Liner Nude Collection.
The first makeup look for the day is the Asian look, where nude glam represents an all glowing natural look. Our model for the day is, beauty blogger Grace Oon (clap clap). After prepping her face, Jilly proceed to show us how to use Shimmer Strips All-in-1 Custom Nude Palette for Face & Eyes.
This is truly one of the must-have nude essentials cosmetics for this year. The Shimmer Strips All-in-1 Custom Nude Palette for Face & Eyes is a multi-functional palette to create custom nude looks. It features:
- 12 perfectly coordinated nude hue.
- Used individually as eyeshadows and liners .
- Blend together as a bronzer, blush or highlighter.
To use as a bronzer or highlighter, swipe the brush applicator diagonally (45% degree) to pick up the colors. Remember to always use the lighter shade on the apple of your cheekbones and darker shades nearer to your jawline.

Shimmer Strips All-in-1 Custom Nude Palette for Face & Eyes
I used it to as a bronzer, highlighter and blusher on my face and it works like magic. It’s kinda tricky the first time as I need to learn how to swipe it perfectly but after a few tries it gets easier. Loved the sheer shimmery glow of the highlights and blusher. However, as a bronzer you’ll need to contour more as the color is a bit too light.

Used this palette as it suits my skin tone color. The texture is silky and is quite easy to blend. For the Dry look, you’ll need to layer a few rounds to make the eyes ‘pop’. The colour pigments are pretty good. I used my fingers to apply it as the angled applicator doesn’t pick up the colours easily.
