With so many Chinese restaurant opening within the Klang Valley, it’s hard to stand out amongst the competition. Introducing Oriental Thai located at Hotel Pullman Kuala Lumpur Bangsar with its unique concept of serving Chinese Thai Fusion Cuisine.
Operations started less than 6 months ago and Oriental Thai has been receiving great reception since then. Entering the restaurant, you might think it’s the usual Chinese Fare but upon seeing the menu you’ll be caught by surprise with the quirky dishes name. The restaurant can easily fit more than 40 tables and have several private rooms for functions as well.

Here are some of the recommended dishes in Oriental Thai that I think you should try. For dim sum, try these selections:

Squid Dumpling Scallop with its refreshing twist of black skin color wrappings and tender scallops.

Chicken Dumpling Ebiko with its juicy and tender minced chicken and topped with Ebiko was simply delicious.

Crystal Prawn Dumpling with fresh prawns is certainly appetizing.
For ala-carte dishes, try the following:

Opened with Soup of the day which is Chicken Soup with Chinese Herbs definitely warm up my stomach.

Snack on the Crispy Fried Fish which is scrumptiously crunchy and toasted with sweet sesame sauce while waiting for other dishes to arrive – a definite ‘Must Try‘!

Chicken Chef Crisp featuring crispy chicken meat fried to perfection topped with generous amount of fried shallot. There’s a slight hint Thai spiciness which make this dish rocks.

Jasmine Beef Shank is definitely one of my favourites. Tender and succulent beef marinated with the Chef’s special sauces is a ‘MUST TRY’! With slight hint of Jasmine fragrant scent, the flavours absolutely light up my palate.

Tiger Grouper fish fillets is freshly cooked on the spot by the chef using light sauces and mix with fresh vegetables tasted amazing. (Note: You can opt for other fish dishes as they’ve an aquarium filled with different types of fresh fish)

Luffa Melon Bean is another favourite dish. Deeply fried on the outer but inside its smooth and moist bean curd just simply melt in your mouth. The bean curds are submerge in unique sauces making each bite a flavoursome journey. Definitely a ‘Must Try’!

Rice Noodle Seafood is a good choice as well for its full of ‘Wok Hei’
We ended our meal with their speciality dessert ‘Lemongrass Jelly’. A tinge of fragrant Chrysanthemum and cold crystallized jelly that’s mix with flavours of sourness and sweetness combo was really tantalizing.

Oriental Thai certainly dish up some fine Chinese Thai fusion cuisine. Go ahead and bring your family or friends to try together. (Please take note that all pricing quoted for the dishes has been rounded up to the nearest figure)
