Last weekend, together with my son and friends we headed to Highstreet 1 Utama, to participate in PLAY-DOH® Month Celebration. It was a momentous occasion where PLAY-DOH® celebrates its heritage of more than five decades by holding an event entitled ‘Shape A Colourful Community’. This event aims to provide families the opportunity to sculpt Malaysian-inspired PLAY-DOH® creations and showcased our different culture and heritage.

The versatile PLAY-DOH® compound, with its wide range of colours and tools can be moulded into many shapes, giving us a free rein to explore our creativity and imagination to the maximum. My son Kenwyn at PLAY-DOH® School, an experiment free-play area for little kids to sample the all new PLAY-DOH® Cupcake Celebration Playset and Swirl and Scoop Ice Cream at the Sweet Shoppe!
We also participated in creating the most PLAY-DOH® sculptures in a single day event as well. The aim was to create 1,500 sculptures and entries will be submitted to The Malaysia Book of Records. Check out the colourful and creative PLAY-DOH® sculptures reflecting Malaysian’s heritage on displayed at the event area.
The most creative sculptures in two categories will win exclusive PLAY-DOH® prizes and will also be featured in PLAY-DOH® website. Categories are divided into:
- Most Outstanding PLAY-DOH® Sculpture (Below 12 years old)
- Most Outstanding PLAY-DOH® Sculpture (Above 13 years old)
It was a great bonding time for me and my son. On top of that, my mother-in-law had tons of fun playing with her favourite grandson. Hopefully, they will hold another PLAY-DOH® event soon. By the way, for winner announcements and information on PLAY-DOH® Month visit www.playdoh.com!
