Power Beauty Showcase By Taiwan Beauty Alliance

It was a sight to behold to see several renown Taiwanese leading beauty brands hold a Beauty Forum together. Yesterday, I attended the Taiwan Beauty Alliance which was held by eleven (11) Taiwanese leading beauty brands to promote and further grow the popularity of Taiwanese beauty industry in Malaysia.

Taiwan Beauty Power – a Networking Event in Malaysia” is organized by Bureau of Foreign Trade (BOFT) , Taiwan and implemented by Taiwan External Trade Development Council (TAITRA) and Taiwan Trade Centre Kuala Lumpur, aims at promoting the “Taiwan Beauty Alliance” with selected 11 Taiwanese distinguished beauty brands which possess 5 major features: biotechnological, medical, innovative, fashion-forward and green.

Addressing remarks by H.E. Mr. Chang, James Chi-Ping, the Representative of Taipei Economic & Cultural Office in Malaysia

According to H.E. Mr. Chang, James Chi-Ping, the Representative of Taipei Economic & Cultural Office in Malaysia, the average of export growth rate of Taiwan beauty industry has been  increasing by 16.6% in the past 5 years. As one of the key industries in the country, Taiwan beauty industry is also recognised as one of the most developed ones in the world. The medical technology in Taiwan is ranked as the top in Asia and the third in the world. It is undoubtedly supportive of the local industry to create professional world-class beauty brands with safe and effective products. In order to fight for a stand at the international marketplace, the “Taiwan Beauty Alliance” was officially formed this year and it will be one of the primary marketing properties of TAITRA for the year.”

This event also aims to build build up and strengthen collaborative relationship between Taiwan and Malaysia, to seek potential business partners and subsequently create new business opportunities as well.

Each brand has set up their own booth to promote their products and I had a fun time exploring the beauty wonders of all 11 participating brands such as 23.5’N, CELLINA, DR JOU, DR WU, FOR BELOVED ONE, MASKINGDOM, NARUKO, NEOGENCE, O’RIGHT, PSK and YUAN. 


23.5'N / A rising star making good use of Taiwanese manufacturing process

Named after it’s location at 23.5’N in Taiwai. This brand is a rising star making good use of Taiwanese manufacturing process. Their skincare collection range contains facial cleaner, toner, mask and lots more. I tried the Gel Mask and Rice Mask on my hands and am pretty amazed with its quick absorbency.

Founded 76 years ago, this is a well established brand in Taiwan. Their range of products include skincare, babycare and bodycare. Tried the body cream and love the refreshing flowery scent.

One of the most touted facial sheet masks in Taiwan and is now fast making a mark in other Asian countries.

Taiwan’s No.1 dermatological brand with its bestseller Hyalucomplex series being sold over 10 million bottles.



The star product-Bio fibre mask has laid a solid foundation for a successful brand in Asia.

MASKINGDOM creatively integrates elements from aboriginal tribes with their cosmetics masks . Got to say their packaging is one of the most interesting one I’ve seen especially their box which opens up as a horn bill bird shape.

A brand that perfectly combines dermatology and bio-tech offering a diversify of skincare range from anti-aging, whitening, acne and so forth.

Inspire by nature, this brand promotes the most environmental-friendly haircare products.

An expert in hydration, PSK’s range of products consist of cosmetics and skincare. Apparently, their best seller Pearl Cream has been sold more than 1,000 times the height of Taipei 101 building.

Handcraft from the scratch and is made from natural herbal ingredients.

This forum was certainly an eye opener for me as I get to learn so much about the natural beauty products from Taiwan. Several of the Taiwan beauty brands showcased is not even available in Malaysia yet and I’m looking forward to seeing it soon in Malaysia.
