Spring is here and this is the season where new make up collection are introduce to beauty lovers like me. I’ve heard before of Pupa Milano and has explored the product during my early years. This year Pupa Milano launches the DOT SHOCK Limited Edition collection. The packaging featuring Polka Dot trend is interpreted as a lively femininity for a woman who dares to exaggerate shapes, geometries and match soft colours with shocking tones.
To make it more interesting, they flew in Giorgio Forgani, Pupa International International Make Up Artist all the way from Italy to demonstrate the latest spring make up look using the DOT SHOCK limited edition. To create a fresh and glamorous look, he uses DOT SHOCK Eyeshadow to enrich the eye make up with vibrant shocking tones and soft shades. To complete the eye make up, VAMP!Stylo Liner was applied to create a more intense graphic look.
Moving on, he then applied DOT SHOCK Blush that’s natural with a sheer luminous and healthy glow finishing. Finally, on the lips, he uses ultra brilliant lipstick Miss Pupa and DOT Shock Balmy Gloss for the ultimate ultra-shiny effect. After the demonstration, it was our turn to have fun and testing the products.
Let’s start with the DOT SHOCK Eyeshadow Palette (RM85) which contains 5 compact eyeshadows that’s really pigmented and gives off a pure, luminous color payoff. The texture is silky thus easy to blend in. Best part, spray some water/ facial mist onto the colours and it will transform into a ‘liquid powder’ effect. It’s available in two color range: Sweet Romance or Spring Sunset. Feel free to glam your eyes up with VAMP!Stylo Liner (RM65) available in creamy chocolate color. The slim and soft marker ‘tip’ is ideal for fast application and draws a fine and ultra precise line.
Next, on my testing list was the gorgeous DOT SHOCK Blush (RM99) that lights up our face naturally and gives off a radiant complexion. The silky texture is enriched with ultra-fine pearls. Slight fragrance scent and comes in a range of subtle pink and peach shades.
I also tested the DOT SHOCK Balmy Gloss (RM59) and loved the nourishing oil and ultra-shining effect. The supreme melt-on texture is enriched with special pigments that react according to our lips pH value and gives off a ‘tailor-made’ result. Opt for either Petal Coral or Pink Beauty. Both are equally gorgeous.
Here’s my ultra brilliant lipstick Miss Pupa (RM59) swatches. The texture is smooth and easily glides on. Notice from my swatches it gives off a crystal effect with semi-transparent finishing. Available in four different colors such as Sugar Peach, Fair Pink, Shock Fuschia and Fancy Red.
There’s also the DOT SHOCK Color Gel Nail Polish (RM43) which are available in two different range of either the Glass Effect or Matt Nail Polish. Opt for the glass effect nail polish if you prefer a shiny and glossy look which is available in Shock Fuschia/Fancy Red. If you like a semi-matt finish with soft touch effect then opt for matt nail polish, which is available in Sugar Peach/Fair Pink.
We had tons of fun playing with the products that day together with other media and bloggers who attended the event.
