Being a woman, we take pride in our looks. From top to toe, we painstakingly take the effort to nourish it. However, there’s a certain part of the body that feels the lacked of love. Are you aware which area I’m referring? It’s none other than our poor feet! We usually don’t give our feet much focus for people can’t see it from afar. However, if you ever remove your shoes and your beloved see those unsightly dehydrated cracked heels, how mortifying can it be? *LOLX*
What causes cracked heels?
Cracks in the heels are generally caused by insufficient moisture. These cracks can become sore and may even bleed. Some of the reasons that caused this problem includes dehydration, taking very hot showers, using harsh dry soaps and scrubbing feet dry.
Nourishing The Foot With Bare Foot
I noticed that both of my feet are showing symptoms of dehydration and to ensure it doesn’t progress into cracked heels, I started looking for a solution. I chanced upon the newly launched foot care products Bare Foot by Freeman Beauty. If you recall, a couple of months ago I reviewed Freeman Infusion serum-infused facial masks and fell in love with the brand. Without hesitation, I decided to give their foot care range a try *wink*

I got my hands on 4 of the products to review, let’s see how well it works!
PEPPERMINT & PLUM– FOOT SCRUB- 150ml (RM22.90)
It’s best to practiced exfoliation twice a week in order for new skin to regenerate. The scrub helps to exfoliates rough dry patches on soles and heels with a combination of Pumice, Walnut Shell and Sugar.
While natural ingredients Peppermint and Plum invigorate, the Tea Tree Oil provides soothing comfort for tired feet. The refined scrub beads work gently on my foot to reveal a much smoother skin. I love the refreshing sweet plum scent of this foot scrub too!
How to use: Massage gently over feet with hand or loofah. Pay extra attention to rough areas when scrubbing. Rinse well. Use 2-3 times a week.
LIME + COCONUT BUTTER CREAM – NOURISHING FOOT BUTTER- 124ml (RM22.90)
For my first treatment, I opted for foot butter as it helps to nourish and softens dry skin. This nourishing foot butter features skin-absorbing Coconut and Shea Butter for deep moisturing effect. Whilst, Lime Extract helps to nurture and reboot rough skin all-over.
The foot butter texture is richer and denser, but fret not for the butter glides on easily and it’s non-sticky. With gentle massage, you’ll find the butter easily absorbs into the skin. My feet like it was cocoon with a layer of smooth buttery protection. Plus, the sweet scent of coconut with a touch of refreshing zesty lime definitely perks up my mood.
How to use: Massage gently on clean feet, working into dry and rough areas. Use 5-7 times a week.
LAVENDER & MINT FOOT – SOOTHING FOOT CREAM – 150ml (RM22.90)
After using the foot butter for a month, I find my feet’s condition has improved tremendously. Thus, I switched to foot cream. This soothing foot cream moisturizes aching legs and feet, softens dry skin on tough soles and heels. Tea Tree Oil helps soothe and relax tired feet while the smell of fresh Lavender and Mint provide uplifting aromatherapy.
The lavender foot cream texture is slightly watery and its similar to a lotion. It glides onto skin smoothly and easily absorbs into the skin without leaving any sticky residue. Just love the soothing fresh Lavender and mint scent, which helps to relax my aching tired legs and feet.
How to use: Massage gently on clean feet and legs, focusing on rough areas. Use 5-7 times a week.
NEEM OIL & SHEA BUTTER – CRACKED HEELS TREATMENT – 100ml (RM26.90)
I bought this for my mom as she’s got cracked heels due to dehydration. This product helps to deeply nourish and soothe rough, dry cracked heels with the help of Neem Oil, Shea Butter and Rosemary Oil. It helps to fully repair and renew skin with replenishing hydration.
The texture is slightly denser than a lotion and is similar to a thick cream. As the ingredients contains Neem and Rosemary Oil, you might find it a tad oily and sticky. However, wait for 3-5 minutes for it to absorb into the skin and it’ll be fine. The rich scent of neem oil might not suit everyone, thus it’s very subjective to personal preferences.
Over a course of 1-month, my mother shared that her cracked heels are much better than before. She will be continuing with this product until her heels are totally heal.
How to use: Massage gently on clean feet, focusing on dry cracked heels. Use 2-3 times a week.
Overall, I find Bare Foot products delivers its promise of keeping our feet young, healthy and nourished again. The pricing is affordable and it’s a pretty big tub too. Plus, the scents of the products are amazingly good and refreshing.
