Following suit, we went on a tour around the hotel and check out the facilities such as the gym, swimming pool, children playground and many more. Ooh… I realize on level 8, there’s another restaurant & cafe named Grea8. Guests can hang out here for high tea or have cocktails at night.
I left my kids with my helper and went over to catch the theatre performance at Encore Melaka. You can read about my experience here – Encore Melaka . Returning to the hotel, we realized the time was kind of late and facing hungry kids. We decided to dine in at The Oak and enjoyed the buffet dinner. It was the best decision ever, there were varieties of fresh food, grilled and BBQ, sushi, desserts and many more. Our favorite food from the buffet table was the sushi and cakes.
Good night sleep is in order for us to revived our energy! Take a look at the comfy sofa bed (psst…we were fighting to see who gets to sleep in it LOLX)
Next day, all of us woke up early to and went for complimentary buffet breakfast at The Oak. Just love the taste of fresh pastries, pipping nasi lemak, roti canai and noodles to name a few.
Take a guess on what we did next? Of course, hit the swimming pool and children playground. The kids had so much fun in the salt-water pool.
It’s finally time to go home and we will definitely miss The Pines Melaka (松閑). Before leaving, we decided to go for HiTea at The Oak. The food is pretty amazing with tons of varieties. Take your pick of salads, Chinese cuisine, kuih muih, noodles and many more. I’ve got to say the kuih muih are truly fantastic!

You can also step out to purchase your favourite goreng-goreng at Kopitiam & Bakery. There’s nyonya kuih, fried cempedak, fried fritters and fried yams. Not to be missed, is the keropok lekor which is really crispy!
Although I went for a round of street food at Jonker Street, I realized the food served at The Pines Melaka (松閑) was equivalently good as well. Guess, I make the right decision to have most of my meals in the hotel *LOL* We were pretty reluctant to head home but let’s plan another trip to Melaka soon.
