Growing up, my parents brought me to catch a circus whenever one hits my town. Back then, I was always awed by the amazing acrobatic performances and laughing happily watching the funny antics of the clowns.
When I heard about ‘Swiss Dream Circus’ touring in my town, without hesitation I decided to bring my kids there. The Big Top was popular since its first opening show back in year 2014 with amazing acrobatic performances. Now, that my kids are slightly older, I bet they would love their first ever circus visit *wink*
Swiss Dream Circus is set up at Desa Park City, Carpark 3 – opposite of Plaza Arkadia. It’s easy to find your way there as signboards are set up from the moment you enter Desa Park City right to the Big Top itself. Parking will only cost RM3 per entry so it’s pretty affordable. There are several show time available, you may refer to below:
Bet you’re wondering which seats I went for and the ticket price as well. I had Zone B tickets which costs RM129 per ticket. It might sound steep but just to highlight the Big Top is fully air-conditioned and it’s a 2 hours show (with 15 min interval break). I would say it’s a pretty good deal . Furthermore, kids at the age of 2 years old or below get to enter for FREE! However, they will need to seat on their parent’s lap 😀

My kids were so excited even before entering the Big Top. There are several snack counters set up along the entryway of the hall, feel free to purchase popcorns, cotton candy, popsicles, hotdogs, soft drinks and many more. Don’t worry the snacks are priced affordably at RM2 per item onwards (unlike other places that charges a drink from RM5, I’m sure you get what I meant 😛 )
After grabbing our snacks, we headed into the Big Top. The crew were pretty attentive and show us our seats. We waited for about 10 minutes and its ‘SHOW TIME’!! Here are some of the key performances that had me and the kids going ‘gaga’ over:
Evegenia – Violinist & Songstress – Russia
The exceptional artist supports the other acts throughout the show with her violin. At the finale, she sang to the crowd and we were left mesmerized!
Maria & Alex – Pole Act – Romania
Everyone loves a fantastic pole at. The duo was flirty and enchanted the interest of the crowd from start till the end.
Jean & Drone– Comedy – France
This performance got the crowd laughing in stitches. Imagine a drone that can be tamed like a pet. Even my kids were laughing aloud to the antics.
Isabele & Ernesto – Cradle Act – Venezuela
The Russian Cradle act is performed effortlessly by this duo. We were left gasping and in awed with every jump performed especially when she was blindfolded!
Duo Romance – Aerial Act – Romania
A performance that show amazing power and elegance while swirling thru the circus dome. Some of the moves were pretty risky and yet they duo makes it seems effortless.
There are other shows too such as knife throwing, clown act and many more. In a blink of an eye the show has ended. My kids actually requested for ROUND 2…lolx. When you head out of the Big Top, you can grab a picture with the show performers. All you have to do is purchase the memorabilia book for RM10 and you can have their autograph and pictures to keep!
