To those whTo loved Brazilian food, head to TEMPTationS at Renaissance Kuala Lumpur Hotel and feast yourself on the authentic American dishes especially prepared by Spanish Guatemalan Chef Pablo Crespo. This year the Latino Fiesta offers a tantalising array of dishes from the Latin America region and you’ll definitely be surprise by his intriguing menu.
Before we began our feast, the evening kicked off with a cocktail session to introduced the the newly enhanced Club Marriott membership programme. It offers members exclusive benefits and indulgences over 100 participating hotels across Asia Pacific managed by Mariott International. Club Mariott full package membership is priced at RM688 nett while the Lite Version is RM358 nett respectively.
Now, it’s time to tickle my palate with a selection of Latin American inspired cuisines plus other specialities at the live cooking stations. Some of the specialities I tried include Brazilian Grilled Fish with orange sauce, Baleadas catrachas from Honduras and Chilean Empanadas. There’s also the Argentinian Churrasco with chimichurri sauce, Colombian Pasta cartagenera, Salvadorean Pupsas and Mexican Brownies with chili among others.
My favourites for the night was definitely the salads for its freshness and burst of intriguing flavours. Here you can opt to try the Ensalada en Papa, Ensalada en Escabenche, Ceviche Peruano and Ensalada de tomoate y cebolla.
Desserts was equivalently scrumptious that night, ranging from the cinnamon topping Rice Pudding to the soft Bavarious de Guindones filled with sweeten prunes. For those who loved savoury desserts, try the Maracuja Mousse. Top dessert for the night is definitely the crisp Churros that was served pipping hot and dipped into oozing chocolate sauce.
This is the first time I’ve tried so many different types of Latin America cuisines in a buffet and it was certainly memorable. At the Latino Fiesta at TEMPTationS, one can enjoy the buffet dinner with Latino wines and cocktails while being serenade with live music on Friday, Saturday and Sunday.
