Timberland Celebrates 45th Year Anniversary With A Remix Collection Of Its Iconic Yellow Boot!

‘A sturdy pair of boots can bring you anywhere’. That’s a phrase a mutual friend told me, when I was looking for my first pair of boots at Timberland. For ladies, Timberland boots might seem a bit manly but if you matched it well, you’ll stand out in the crowd. Celebrating its 45^th year Anniversary, Timberland introduces a new spin on their iconic 6’inch Yellow Boot with a fashion party at Mid Valley recently.

Let me share a brief history of this famous Yellow Boot from Timberland. In 1973, the yellow boots were the first waterproof leather boots introduced by the Abington Shoe Company. Incorporating premium full-grain nubuck leather, thick rubber lug soles and unprecedented craftsmanship, the yellow boot was an instant classic. It was named the “Timberland.” Ah…so that’s how the name came about…

The iconic boot was never intended to be a fashion icon. Why? It’s because it was made for hardworking New Englanders facing the rugged terrain and wet weather. However, by mid-1980s, the boot became so popular throughout Italy, United Kingdom, Germany and Hong Kong!

At the celebration of their 45^th Anniversary, Timberland introduces a special collection of boots to celebrate the heritage of bootmaking. The new collection features remixes of the iconic yellow boot made with premium materials and expert craftsmanship. Hence, expect a mix of low-profile chukkas, pull-on Chelsea styles and Earthkeepers® versions made with eco-conscious materials. Did I also mention the remixed collection features sapphire highlights? This is a symbol of the 45^th Anniversary making it unique!

The yellow boots certainly deserved its place as an iconic fashion piece. The fashion show held during the party showcases the many styles one can pair with the yellow boots! I spotted throngs of celebrities and influencers attending the event wearing their favorite Timberland boots to celebrate this occasion.

One of the fun activities held at Timberland 45^th year Anniversary, are the crafts booth set up around the area. We’ve got different crafts area such as leather key chain, paint your boots and crafts your leather bag. It was certainly a night of creativity fun!
