This year is the first of many things for me since being a blogger from a makeover to a hairdo. My latest exciting adventure involve me participating in a weekend Safari getaway cum Treasure Hunt at Bukit Gambang Resort City (BGRC) aka BGRC Safari Treasure Hunt. It’s located just 35km before the town of Kuantan and to reach there, we will have to take exit 830 Gambang via the East Coast Expressway (LPT).

Our team was named ‘Tomb Huntress’ and consist of 4 members namely myself, Eva (my sis), Wendy and her mom. Together we kick start our journey from Kuala Lumpur to travel the resort which is located just 35km before the town of Kuantan. In order to arrive at Bukit Gambang Resort City (BGRC) ,we must take take exit 830 Gambang via the East Coast Expressway (LPT).

Our first mission was a car hunt, where we are given a map and is required to solve riddles and identify 5 types of treasures. We must purchase at least one unit of each item as it will gain us bonus points. In conjunction with the Ramandan month, the treasures will be donated to Ribath Tahfiz Sheikh Iman As Syirazi, a local all-boy orphanage in Kuantan.

Arriving at the resort, we were tired but more than thrill to have completed our Day 1 mission (Did I mentioned earlier that this was a 2- day hunt 😀 ).

After dropping our things, we headed off to our family apartment for a quick rest. The apartment consist of a living room, dining room, balcony, 2 rooms and toilets. It comes with basic amenities such as towel, shampoo, shower gel and even hair dryer. Love the comfortable apartment with its super comfy air conditioning and TV build into each individual room.

After a quick rest, we were ushered to the Safari Park in an air conditioning bus with the windows barred. Together with the members of the media, we were briefed not to extend our hands out of the window as we’re going into the wilds. OMG..was it amazing! It’s like a trip to Africa watching the animals roam free on the land.
Finishing our park tour, we headed to the animal show area to catch live performances. This lady from the media is so brave to hold the snake in her hands!
By now, we’re super famished and was herded to the Simba Hill Gourmet Hall for our dinner. Here’s something unique, you can dine with the White Lions here!

While enjoying the scenery of watching the majestic White Lion, we joined the other treasure hunt participants to giving out the treasures and “duit raya” to the orphans from Ribath Tahfiz Sheikh Iman As Syirazi.

Today’s Day 2 of our treasure hunt and it will be fully within BGRC. After having our breakfast, off we go for a quick briefing and start our hunt. We managed to finish our hunt within 45 minutes and headed off to grab lunch before prize ceremony begins.

In total there were 34 teams and all of us walk away as winners for the day as 30 lucky teams went home with prizes with the top 5 winning teams receiving additional cash prizes amounting to RM3000, RM2000, RM1000, RM600 and RM400!

There was also a special recognition prize awarded to a five year old hunter, Lau Jong Jing for being such a sport to volunteer himself and shared the joy of giving to his newly met orphan friends. He was given a complimentary annual pass to Bukit Gambang Safari Park where he can visit the safari for 365 days for free! He will also enjoy birthday treat, discounts and special privileges during his visits.

As everyone packed up to depart home, we decided to go try the outdoor activities available. There’s the ATV ride, archery, paint ball and lots more. It was so much fun 😀

Final stop for the day was to check out the Global Heritage build by Bukit Gambang Resort City. This fine resort living features villa replicated with designs from San Francisco, Florence, Paris and lots more. You’ll feel like you’ve just stepped into a movie set of different cities. Absolutely gorgeous!

We stayed on for another night as we were too tired to travel home. Next day, before checking out we went out for a horse ride. It was kinda scary to get on top of the horse but the feeling gradually subside as we pace slowly in the field.

Before heading home, we had a scrumptious Chinese menu luncheon at Oriental Oasis. The food was really delicious with generous servings. It’s time to go home and I shall missed my weekend getaway at Bukit Gambang Resort City (BGRC).

Folks fret not, due to popular demand there will be another treasure hunt organized in October 2016. Let’s hope it will be arrange by the same treasure hunt organiser from Clerk of Course, Pava’s Hunt.
