Wholesome family dining at Card Café

It’s been a year since I last visited Card Café, in Bandar Bukit Tinggi 2,  Klang.  Stepping into Card Café, I was once again enthralled by their amazing collection of cards. According to the owner, the concept and name of the café was derived by his hobby of collecting cards. His cards collections are massive ranging from your normal membership cards like Jusco, Starbucks, credit cards and so forth.

Looking at the menu, I realised more items have been added into it. Upon inquiring, Card Café is actually launching a new menu this month August and I’m one of the few lucky ones to try their new signature dishes.

For drinks, we were recommended the following:

From top: Green Tea Caffee (RM10.90), Mint Latte (RM10.90) and Caffe Mocha (RM10.90)

Apart from the hot caffes, we also ordered some cold drinks:

My son loved the Iced Orange Honey Tea and finished it within seconds. As for me I prefer the Mocha Caffe. My nieces loved the Green Tea Caffe as it’s not too sweet and the green tea scent is not overpowering.

Next, the soups were served and we were spoilt for choice as well.

Italian Tomato Soup (RM9.90) with herbs

Adore this soup for its tangy taste and it was really an appetizing opener.

Pumpkin Soup (RM9.90) with herbs

It’s sweet and creamy and voted the favourite soup among the kids.

Broccoli Soup (RM9.90) with Cauliflower and Italian herbs

My favourite as I seldom take cauliflower in my food. For this, I’ll make an exception.

Together with the soups, we were also served with some snacks to munch on:

Just look at the plate, its set to entice your palate.  A close up picture revealed the finely grated potatoes layered together with touch of black pepper sauce. The coated prawn was perfectly fried and is absolutely crunchy as well.

Never one to resist a good snack, this Salsa Ala Mexican is another good choice  of snacks from Card Cafe. This dish includes classic salsa, jalapeno slice and fried tortilla chips. For kids, Card Cafe has also introduced two brand new menus as below:

Kids Plates A (RM 11.90) – Rice, Yakult, Baked Beans, Fried Egg, Chicken Nuggets, Mix Salad, Mix Fruits Yogurt

Kids Plate B (RM10.90) – Rice, Yakult, Baked Beans, Fried Egg, Chicken Sausage, Mix Salad, Mix F ruits Yogurt

If you prefer something light yet still fulfilling, try Card Café salads

Classic Caesar Salad was served with caeser dressing, romaine lettuce, poached egg, grilled herb chicken, japanese cucumber, capsicum, baked crouton and parmesan cheese. Whilst, the Grilled Prawn Salad features grilled prawn, cherry tomato, black olive, baked crouton, apple, japanese cucumber, capsicum and slice cheddar cheese with sour cream sauce. Both salads are equally good, however I’ll vouched for the Grilled Prawn Salad as I love the sour cream sauce dipping. Finishing the salad, we were presented with several choices of main course from their selected all-day-breakfast, sandwiches, pizzas and dinner’s menu.

Egg Benedict is served together with muesli bread, poached egg, cherry tomato, red caviar, hollandaise sauce, mix salad and a choice of smoked salmon / chicken ham / turkey ham/ beef bacon. Looking at the colourful plating is enough to set my palate drooling.

Baked Egg Cheese Sandwich is served with panini bread, baked egg with cheese, slice yellow onion, japanese cucumber, slice capsicum, slice tomato, mix salad, bowl of fried tortilla chips. You can also opt to choose from a choice of smoked salmon/ chicken ham/ turkey ham / beef bacon. The cheese is practically oozing from the top of the egg  and with every bite I can feel the cheese melting into my mouth. Definitely a ‘MUST TRY‘!

The Spaghetti Beef Meatball features home-made beef meatball, bolognaise, italian herbs with parmesan cheese topping. As for Card Cafe Rice with crispy salmon it’s served with bruschetta, mix salad and hollandaise sauce. The spaghetti was a classic dish but I’ll prefer the Rice with Crispy Salmon as it’s perfectly pan-grilled salmon season with a light touch of salt for natural flavouring. For pizzas, we ordered the two latest addition in the menu:

Smoked Salmon Pizza (RM14.90)

The ingredients of this pizza is simply amazing, it has smoked salmon, red coral, red caviar, tomato base pizza, aioli sauce and mayonaise. Totally delicious and tantalizing and its my first time trying a pizza with red caviar as topping, another ‘MUST TRY’ in Card Cafe.

Card Café Pizza (RM14.90)

If salmon and caviar is not something you craved, then try Card Cafe pizza, a classic on its own served with grilled herb chicken, capsicum, black olive and onion. You can also select a choice of topping from chicken ham/chicken sausage sliced/ beef pepperoni sliced. We finished the meal with desserts and were served with their in-house baked cakes of Oreo Cheesecake, Chocolate Deluxe and Italian’s Tiramisu Cup.

The only area that needs improvements would be the desserts. For Oreo Cheesecake, the cake creaminess is good but it would be better  without the second layer of biscuit crumbs. As for Chocolate Deluxe it was slightly too dry for my taste. Italian’s Tiramisu Cup is the choice of dessert for the night.

Card Café is a good choice for either breakfast, lunch or dinner with its varieties of dishes. The dishes are tasty and pricing is reasonable as its dining portion can be shared by two pax. Amazingly, I was informed that all pricing quoted is inclusive of GST and there’s no service charge, that’s totally a bargain as they served good quality food.

By the way, if you’re looking for a venue for event’s functions, feel free to check out their private area on the second floor which may accommodate up to 80pax. Do drop by Card Café when you’re nearby Bandar Bukit Tinggi 2, Klang. Till then, I shall keep you posted on my next café visit.
