Guardian’s Outstanding Brands Award Returns Bigger & Better!

Guardian Brands Award

In a blink of an eye, a year has gone by. Guardian’s Outstanding Brands Award (OBA) is backed again and this year marks the 17th edition of its highly popular annual award for health and beauty brands. Launched 16 years ago, OBA is the premised on connecting its millions of shoppers to all its business partners and brand owners. How? By having the shoppers vote for the most outstanding brand. The Award has grown in popularity among Guardian’s shoppers, who look forward to getting their say and having the chance to win attractive prices every year!

I was invited to a preview of Guardian’s OBA 2017 recently. There are more than 200 brands vying for 60 categories ranging from hair care, face care, cosmetics, hygiene, supplements, medication, mother and child products, and many more. In each category, there will be one most preferred brand award given. It’s going to be a really tough competition as it now lies in the hands of Guardian’s shoppers to vote!

Members of the media casting their votes. This year, it’s done in the latest digital craze MESSENGER BOTS! Fret not, if it suddenly lags for you can continue where you left off *wink*

For shoppers, they stand a chance to win one of the 50 prizes, totalling RM25,000 in Guardian vouchers. The prizes are as follows:

  • 5 x grand prize of RM1,500 each
  • 5 x first prize of RM1,000 each
  • 15 x second prize of RM500 each
  • 25 x consolation prize of RM200 each.

How to participate? Shoppers are required to spend at least RM10 at the store or online. Then log on to http://m.me/GuardianOBA or scan the QR code provided to cast their vote. Voting can be done anytime between 1 September and 27 September 2017.

The contest is open to those aged 18 and above. As proof of purchase, shoppers must keep the original Guardian receipt which contains the tax invoice number, store code number, date of purchase and purchase amount.
