Gaya Travel magazine in partnership with RTM, Malaysia’s national broadcaster; with Air Asia as the official airline partner launched their new TV programme ‘Pasport ASEAN’.In line with Malaysia holding the role as Chairman for ASEAN in 2015, ‘Pasport ASEAN’ brings Malaysian viewers to explore selected ASEAN destinations through its 13 episodes. Airing will start on 27th July, every Sunday at 9.30pm in RTM’s TV1. Interesting topics highlighted are tourist attractions, culture communities and accommodations.

While waiting for the event to begin, I went to redeem my free cup of coffee from Garage51’s table. The cold coffee tasted delicious as today‘s weather is so hot. I also took the opportunity to take photos at the photo booth too.
In a speech by, Juhan Kamaruddin, Editor of Gaya Travel reveals ‘Gaya Travel is consistently looking for ways to reach our audiences and by collaborating with RTM and crew of Pasport ASEAN offers us invaluable experiences in the broadcasting industry’.
Radzi Rulan, TV producer of Pasport ASEAN further elaborates ‘The programme aims to provide latest travel trend by highlighting selected destinations uniqueness in terms of its socio-cultural and economic systems. The launching of Pasport ASEAN is timely with the appointment of the Ministry of Communications and Multimedia as the ASEAN Secretariat.

Today’s event was also in observance of Aidilfitri, thus in tandem with the launch of Pasport ASEAN an intimate ‘Raya with Friends’ gathering was organised by Gaya Travel. During dinner, we enjoyed the special performances and games held. Of course, there was lucky draws session where guests stand a chance to walk away with air tickets, hotel vouchers, F&B vouchers and lots more.
I had fun meeting new friends from the media, government officials and tourism industry players. Can’t wait to catch ‘Pasport ASEAN’ on RTM’s TV1 soon!
