Top To Do Activities @ Resorts World Langkawi

I haven’t been to Langkawi for the longest time ever so when I received an invitation to join , I immediately agreed and packed my bags to party! Apart from staying in the newly refurbished rooms at Resorts World Langkawi, my weekend 3D/2N getaway also includes fun outdoor activities and tours as well. Upon our arrival, we spend the day at Resorts World Langkawi itself – a fun property tour around the resort. I got myself the newly renovated Deluxe Seaview room which offers a panoramic view of the cerulean sea. Don’t believe me, check out the video below:

Finish the tour of our room, we continued our way around the resorts. Are you aware that Resorts World Langkawi has a lighthouse? The view is simply fantastic.

Headed off to the Seagull Coffee House which serves a variety of Asian and Intercontinental dishes for breakfast. Quite a nice spread and I realized that we can actually watch the sunrise while enjoying our breakfast outdoor as well.

MANGROVE TOUR  AT SUNGAI KUBANG BADAK

Time to head off to Kubang Badak for our Mangrove Tour which takes approximately an hour to arrive. In the bus, our tour guide highlighted to us some of the attraction spots that we will be stopping by. This is my first Mangrove Tour and I’m definitely excited to check out the mentioned attraction spots such as Old Charcoal Factory, Pinang Cave and Mangrove Forest Explore.

We were lucky to have such a fun and experience tour guide who’s really passionate about mangrove forests. He showed us different types of mangrove trees and explained in detailed how they survive and grow. We were also pointed out to some of the living species that breeds in the mangrove forest. He definitely made our trip so enjoyable and fun!

OLD CHARCOAL FACTORY

Never in my life would I imagined finding a charcoal factory inside a mangrove forest! It was pretty interesting as we explore the long abandoned factory.

GUA PINANG aka PINANG CAVE

Thank god I was wearing sneakers as we need to trek through the jungle to Pinang Cave. Takes about 25 minutes to arrive at the cave entrance. There’s no camera flash allowed inside the cave as we wouldn’t want to disturb them. In case you can’t take the stench, cover your nose with a hankie.

Once, we reached the deep open sea, this is where it gets exciting. Our captain informed us that we may jump into the sea (with assistance of professional lifeguards) or either swim ourself over to the other side of the boat and lie on the net whilst the boat is cruising. This is known as the sea salt spa treatment and it’s certainly amazing!

As the sun starts to set, food is served too. The BBQ food are simply delicious! If you think that’s all, wait for the music and head to the upper deck and danced the night away while the boat cruises back to the hotel. I had so much fun that night!

Our boat is parked a distanced away from the feeding area as if we’re too close the eagles will not come down for the meat. See how the majestic eagles swoop down to enjoy their meal below:

On our way back, we did a quick stop to see the glorious view of the legendary Pregnant Maiden Island aka Pulau Dayang Bunting.
